I am asking because during the first touch,I connected one where a system of 5 MX series are playing,and they sounded weaker than Mirage's smallest speaker... like losing power from the back....

Today Vanns went back to the original msrp on the omd line. $7500 for the omd-28, $2000 for the omd-c2. good luck with that Vanns!

If you look closely most of those OMD speakers are Out of Stock and a couple only have 1 speaker left. So it probably doesn't matter.

I'm looking to purchase the OS3 floorstanders but I'm wondering how they stack up against the Polk monitor 70's? Have a chance to get both at around the same price but don't have an opportunity to audition either. And looks like the best place to get info on the OS3's are here in this thread. Thanks in advance

That is really too bad about Vanns kicking up the prices on the Mirage OMDs. I was really considering a C2.

Probably stopped manufacturing and now mopping the floor on the OMD stock that remains at the audiovox/klipsch/mirage warehouse. Was a great run for several years for those that bought thru Vanns - happy I scored enough speakers for four rooms (6 x 5's, 2 x 15's, 2 x 28's, 1 x c1)...

If Vanns was not going under, they would probably have a full line of Mirage. If you check everything they sell most of the items are out of stock, such as TVs, Appliances, cameras, ect. I hope they can recover from their finanial troubles and not go under. I enjoy buying from them. - John

wwstereo is another place to keep an eye on for Mirage stuff. Maybe the OMDs will turn up there.

I can get 5 of the original omnisats for $200, or get the OS3-SATS (x2) and OS3-CC for about $225 and then add the back two later. Any opinions, other than looks, on the original omnisats over the OS3 models. I assume the addition of a more traditional center channel helps with the dialogue. I also see the nanosats locally for $200, but I have an S10.3 Energy sub that may not work that well in the 120-150 range. Thanks for any guidance.

Since the s10.3 tops out at 120hz I'd get the speakers that can play below that point. According to the specs the OS3 speakers go down to 70hz. I'd get those.

Is there anywhere to buy the uni-theater soundbar anymore?

I'm also curious as how the OS3 towers sound compared to Polk 70's.

Regretting selling my OMD-5s and V2 CC.

But noooooo, I just had to go buy an camera.

Back to looking for new OMD-5s or bookshelfs to replace my mains....which are currently Nanosats.

Ha, those werent there earlier today when I looked. Think mine sold on ebay for about $80 less than that in awesome shape too.

I do this with CL in my area. Quick refresh and I can see any new speakers that pop up.

How do Mirage compare to Polks? Is there any other speakers which have a close sound to them? I've looked and Mirage aren't anywhere close to me for a demo.

I check CL and Ebay all the time. Not sure how I missed that one.

I owned the Polk Lsi line of speakers, and found them to be awesome for music and movie watching. The are laid back and not harsh whatsoever. Compared to Klipsch's I have heard for example. Clean highs and nice tight bass. I only sold them because I was given an offer I couldnt refuse by a local buyer. Mirage speakers fill a room up with sound and this is why I am basing my new home theater set up around them. I almost exclusively want them for movie watching. Besides that, my original love has always been the Omd-28's and the money will fund that project. I do still own a pair of Polk rt55's in my garage rig which I think are some of the best entry level speakers ever made. I will probably never sell those....no matter what the offer!

I'd also like to sell one OMD15, and one OMD C1, purchased in Feb 2012, both in Rosewood.

The center hasn't seen much use, as I normally listen to 2ch music.

My other OMD15 has a blown mid, the one I want to sell is not damaged.

If purchased your OMD-15s in Feb 2012 why dont you get the blown mid driver replaced? You've got a 5 year mfrs warranty!

Has anyone used Neo: X with the OMD series? Any thoughts? Does it have much impact with the already excellent soundstage?
