For any of you considering 8060 towers...I manually set mine to large and turned off the sub to show a friend what they can do. Even I forgot how well they sounded full range. And I played some insane bass demos and even I forgot how good the bass can sound. They get busy for sure! I have weird attraction to these speakers. I am currently studying/researching sound, how it interacts with a room, objects, etc. just stuff I enjoy. All of this paired with how room treatments work. I have a Speclabs UMM-6 mic on back order to use with REW to make some measurements. Yes I am new but heading down a deep rabbit hole and I love it! But all this to say the bipolar aspect has some notoriety of being contradictory in their bipolar nature with rear reflections and properly treating a room. Side note, Joe and others I would be interested in your comments about room treatments paired with bipolar design. Anyway even if I go with some SM 65's or even different speakers in a dedicated room I couldn't bring myself to sell these 8060 towers. Would keep them for another room or something. So all this to say these speakers are cool!
