If you want a quality in-wall speaker, don't hesitate to buy these. If you are patient, you can find them on eBay (rls III) for around $300. Bajawaverunner sells them refurbished at around that price range. But you may be able to find them brand new for the same price or a few bucks more like I did.
This is where I'm at... I've auditioned B&W in-walls and the only thing that could really compare is the CWM 7.3 at $1500 apiece; I can pick up the RLS II at under $500 apiece and I just can't convince myself that the B&W have that much more to offer. Maybe they do if I am willing to invest a ton in discrete amps and extra electronics, or maybe they don't, but i've heard enough great things about the Deftechs that it's tough to imagine spending $4500 on my front stage when I could pull it together at under $1500 with speakers that seem to be ranked as absolutely amazing even outside their own price range. For what it's worth I'm running a Denon 3808 AVR with around 130 watts per channel and Audyssey EQ (but not the most recent revision).
