Nice eye! Yes, that indeed is a great Blu-Ray disc. Even better was seeing them in person in East Lansing this last summer for the 360 Tour.

That looks like one of the Casio hybrid LED projectors. How is it for color and contrast?

My GFs parents use that same background as well. For the longest time I thought that was an explosion/fire in the background. Then one day I got close and realized it's a much more peaceful image of the sunlight on a rockface.

Great room, and great thread! I can't wait until i get a little older and get a more permanent place so I can start construction of a nice home theater like some in here. It stinks that I move about every year. Currently moving into my 5th place in the last 6 years.

Here are my before/after shots. The room is 24'-4" x 15'-10" with 8'-1" ceilings. I started with a "finished" basement and added quite a few embellishments.

I am still working on the decorating part. Having a curtain made for the window and the large opening to the hallway. I also want to do something with the ceiling, light fixture and add an area rug to the room. I can't do any actual modification to the structure of the room as my wife and I are expanding our family and will quickly outgrow this house. The next house is where the real fun will start. But for now I get ample pleasure out of my little room.

Another of my favorite threads, although mine does not compare..

I just read through all 22 pages of this thread and my heart is racing and my palms are sweating. You guys are so incredibly awesome.

We are looking to buy a house later this year with the express purpose of building a home theater. Really excited with what I've seen.

Did you start out with a brown theater and changed your mind?
