However a partially used warantee I've never heard of. Even AMD or Intel will first ask when you bought the thing. I've said nothing personal to you or about you, though you seem to have taken this post as an attack on you. So rant all you wish, my opinion is not going to change because you attempt to degrade me, nor for any reason I can see at this time. Again you have a nice day and maybe relax, you seem tense.
Hey, hey, relax there. While many of us (including myself) have bought the TV from J&R, that's not what we are here to discuss, generally. I realize that you may not really know J&R from a hole in a wall from where you are, J&R is not really like those other retailers you refer to. I've also dealt with retailers not returning calls, actually hanging up on me, and not doing what they promised. J&R's been around as long as I can remember, and located in a pretty prominent part of downtown, right in front of the city hall and near the Wall Street area. It's a fairly sizable B&M store that also has a website that you can order from. While their customer service is not stellar, I don't think they can afford to be bad. I'm not defending J&R; I have no interest in their well being, other than that it's a convenient place to shop for me, but have you given them a chance? I asked you before if you tried calling them and you replied they weren't open at the time. They are open now. I know they answer their phones, because I have called them before.
While I can understand your frustration with receiving an expensive broken product, the issue I take, however, is your escalation on subsequent postings to generalize all of New York in your rant about one order from one retailer.
Before you say where, here it is. You started with:
"So from my experiences it would seem as though J&R repaired the box and sent the defective unit out anyways. Does J&R stand for Jip and Ripoff? Not impressed, not impressed one bit."
Then enlarged your scope to include all vendors in NY:
"This is the first time dealing with J&R but not my first experience with New York based vendors. I thought from the posts here that these folks might be different and maybe they are however I've lost trust in all of them
Then finally everybody in NY:
"I don't care to get screwed over anymore, that's all that ever happened with any NY based etailer, apparently a lack of honor. It's not my fault that there's only 260 days left on the warantee of a supposed new tv. Never have I had any manufacturer tell me that, it's always once your register it'll be one year, 90 days etc. You keep NY, and you keep J&R I'll never do business with them again or anyone in NY.
If you are trying to get help or suggestions here, this is not the way to do it. If you are trying to warn others of your bad experience with a retailer, any reasonable person won't get passed your irrational rant. That'a all for me about this. I don't generally respond to trolling, but this was a bit insulting, despite your disclaimer to the contrary. Now hopefully back to our regularly scheduled program.
