I was hooping to be able to use my beat-to-hell RC-R on the wall, but mount is a bit loose, almost like where the mounting screw gets threaded in isn't tightly attached to the rest of the thing. No complaints though, it sounds just fine. I've had a chance to test it with another RC-R and they match as they should. Small dent to one of the mid-bass modules doesn't seem to alter the sound.
For my office setup, I'm now thinking about ditching my old Kenwood (moving it to the bedroom) and putting a 3-channel setup in the office. This is getting a little out of hand...

I used Toggler brand drywall anchors and mounted directly in the drywall (no studs). I bought the smallest/lightest duty ones I could find, which were still rated well beyond the weight of the RC-R (like 2-3x). Neither the RC-R or RC-mini are particularly heavy so a smaller dry wall anchor that will leave a similarly small hole in the wall will work just fine.
Here is what I used, though I would probably look for the mini self drilling anchors if I were to buy a new pack.

I had initially tried to use EZ anchors (I think that's what brand they were - in anycase there looked extremely similar to the white ones you posted and were all the nearest hardware store had), but I had several either severely bend or break off completely in my walls, even after I pre-drilled. The Toggler brand are much better in my experience, even if you have to go out of your way to a big box home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowes) to find them.

btw... the speakers are in perfect shape and sound stunning. One of the best purchases I've made in a while. I don't know if $350 a pair is a fair price or not but I am not complaining at all. Good luck!
(but still not quite up here in San Diego)...
then you get the DSX "wall of sound" for movies
