Also, is it true that bi-amping does not really make any sort of improvement? I will be running the denon 2112ci and it has the option to use the 7th channel speakers as bi-amps for a 5.1 setup instead (would be bi-amping RC-70's). Is it really not worth it?
More than anything, it seems to be just a neat marketing ploy to help sell the extra channel capable receivers(7 or 9) The general consensus that I have read and tried myself is that with a typical home theater receiver bi-amping and for certain bi-wiring even more so just doesn't do anything audibly noticeable. But, if you have the extra channels and the speaker wire, by all means give it a try and see what you think. Just be very cognizant of the proper receiver settings and receiver to speaker connections and removal of the speaker shorting straps.

yes it's true
note however that the statement "bi-amping does not really make any sort of improvement" is true for PASSIVE bi-amping, which is the category that receiver bi-amping falls under. A fully bi-amped system with active crossovers would be an improvement for certain high-end speakers. But for receivers, it's just a marketing fluff feature to appease people with 5ch setups who think they are "wasting" two channels in their amp.
I tried to order 3 RC-LCR's today but when I put them in my cart the price changed to $299. I called and they gave them to me for $249, no problem. They called me back and said they only have 2 so I cancelled my order. So if you are on the fence for and LCR, you might want to grab it now.

These speakers are $299.99 through Amazon.com as well; however, I don't think you can call in to get the $250 price.
I ordered my VS on Sunday and they still haven't shipped. They are being sent to Chicago by Amazon's fulfillment centre. Anyone know where the VS are actually coming from? Edited by audit13 - 8/7/12 at 8:24pm

On vanns.com, the LCR is now "out of stock". I really wonder if it's only temporary. I'm really glad I pulled the trigger last winter, even if I did not manage to hit rock-bottom prices. Now of the RC series, only the RC-10s remain in stock at Vann's.
I talked to Vanns, yesterday. More RC-70s are scheduled to arrive mid august time frame.
Makes me wonder where they are getting all of these parts to keep making the RC-70s. Either they are making new parts or there are a lot of leftover parts.
As an engineer, but still not fully educated on this topic, I fully believe that bi-amping is worthwhile with speakers on the level of RC70's. there are topics I would have to really have to dig into, (that i have no time for), but from all my readings, I can see nothing but advantages over the only disadvantage of wire cost (whether they are audible differences or not are to be seen). Again, I have no evidence, testing, or anything else to go on, but from a physics point of view, bi-AMPing is much different that bi-wiring, which is a waste of time, IMHO. My 1.99 cents

Energy is making RC-70's, LCR's and RC-10s to be exclusively sold at Vanns. They're making more.
Its just like Polk Audio making the Monitor II series speakers to be exclusively sold at Newegg.com

That is good to hear, thanks!! Do you have knowledge as to whether they'll be making any more RC-10's in cherry or rosenut finish? I'm desperately looking for a pair...
That's not happening in rosenut or cherry any more. They havent sold those since I got mine 3 years ago when they were clearing out stock. I think black outsells them by a large margin since black goes with everything. The other colors look better to me though.
I've contemplated getting them several times since I have cherry RC-10 fronts and cherry RC Mini surrounds. But I don't need any more speakers as I dont have room for 7.1

If you want some cherry RC-10s this guy has been listing his speakers for many months. Looks like he's willing to ship. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/ele/3189543493.html

Thanks, I may look into that. What about V5.1's in rosenut? Do you think it's possible that Vann's will get more of those in?
also keep in mind that Vann's has an exclusive deal with Energy to produce/sell these RC speakers, so you likely won't be able to buy them anywhere else.
So far my two set up consist in:
living room set up.
2-RC-70
2-RC-10
1-RC-LCR
2-RC-R
1-ESW V8 Subwoofer
movie room set up.
2-VERITAS V6.3
2-VERITAS V5.1
1-VERITAS V5.2
2-VERITAS VS
My next plan is is to buy two non energy Subwoofers.
Both setups must be awesome to use. What are you using to drive them?

Amazing setup. Do you use the RC-10 and V5.1 for Wides or Rear Surround?

I ordered through Amazon on Sunday and they still haven't shipped.
Any delivery from vanns to my state usually takes 2 days but this one was about a week ,not sure why.

I used then as front height, I like how the front stage sound with front height, You get more depth and dimension more spacious surround sound.

The Denon is a really great looking and sounding receiver. I demoed my PC-30s with a Denon and it was this demo that turned me onto Energy, Denon, and Marantz equipment.
I contacted Amazon about my order and they said it should ship tomorrow so it'll take about a week too.
Don't miss the chance of having a center RC-LCR with 4 RC-10.
There is only one brand new energy v6.3 piano rosenut speaker. Im not sure why they keep the high price on the last one. Edited by losservatore - 8/8/12 at 11:48pm
I'd echo this... I have two, one for my living room - RC-LCR, 2 RC-50's, 2 RC-10's, 2 RC-mini's, 2 S10.3 subs, one for my bedroom - RC-LCR, 2 RC-10's, 2 RC- mini CC's (surrounds), ESW V8 sub and my daughter's bedroom is mismatched, but could not pass the center up - Mirage Omnisat V2 Center, 4 RC mini's, Mirage S8 sub. A Vmini CC and 2 vmini's in reserve.
I had the RC mini CC's instead of the RC-LCR originally, and while I loved them in my spaces (not huge, in a 2 bedroom apt.), the RC-LCR is just a major step up.
