Sorry, I crashed for the night and did not see your request until this morning. For future reference for shopping discounts for numerous stores, go to Mr Rebates.com and sign up for a free account. At one time, maybe they still do, they give you $5 just for signing up. Also you can make a few dollars by sending referral emails to friends and family whom create an account and make a purchase.

Once you have an account log on and perform a store search for World Wide Stereo. Click on the WWS link and it will take you to there website and be you will be logged for a 4% discount. You don't get the discount at check out, there is a waiting period (in case you return the merchandise) I believe the waiting period is 60 days at which point the money will be added to your Mr Rebates account. Once you have money in your account you can have them mail you a check or transfer it to a Paypal account.

There are numerous competing Discount websites. In addition to Mr. Rebates there is Fatwallet and Ebates.com to name a few. I have accounts at all three as the discounts for the same store are all different. For WWstereo, Mr Rebates had the highest discount of the three. If you have cash back credit cards use them as well.

Maybe you can cancel your order from last night and then reorder through Mr. Rebates as I outlined. (if the $14 is worth it to you)

I have a pair of RC-10s that are still sealed in their boxes. I would like to sell one of them if anybody would like to use one as a center channel. PM me for more info.

^ i guess you are not gonna try to use both as center then. I was interested to know how that worked if you had tried it.

I am trying to ignore (since I just bought these a couple weeks ago at the $379 price). But it's getting very difficult not to cave. Already bought the RC Micro 5.0 set a couple months ago when they were on sale for $60 even though I had no need for them. Then got the V mini and am still compelled to get another set of the V mini's at this price. confused.gif

OK guys, you are not helping the addiction. tongue.gif

(I'm also waiting to hear back from wwstereo to see if they'll refund the difference from 11 days ago.)

Actually, if they didn't refund the difference, I would not have cared. It's only $30. But it couldn't hurt to try. However, I just got confirmation that they are indeed going to give me a refund. cool.gif

Guys this is indeed a great deal on a fine set of small speakers, but this feeding frenzy mentality of buying just because they are available at this great price doesn't make sense if you don't have a use for them! What are you going to do? Watch them collect dust? Why not put that money towards an upgraded sub or acoustic treatments, or amp or source device instead and feed your addiction with something more useful?smile.gif

Well, there is the computer room that could use some speakers, plus another bedroom, as well as the TV in the basement, and then there is the garage that could use some sound.....biggrin.gif

+1 but I wasnt gonna say it. Like the women who watch QVC all day, sometimes its just the rush of getting a good deal. Then the anticipation of waiting is exciting. Then when they get it they put it in a drawer or closet and the party is over.
Make no mistake....some of us truly are addicts.

In my case I needed some surrounds.....Is not admitting I am addicted, a sign of something? smile.gif

My best friend after I bough mines he got very impressed by their sound and totally like the speakers ,he only have a small sony speakers and receiver bundle.

I told him about the sale but he couldn't afford then now ,so I bought then for him.

now is that sound better to you?

I dint said the story behind the purchase because I dont want my friend to feel bad.

by the way it also makes me feel bad commenting about my friend, but you were too aggressive with your comment and I had to explained to you.

I don't see where he referenced you in his comment. You don't need to explain/justify your purchases to anybody around here...it's your money so you can do what you want with it. I think it was just a general statement that warned against people buying speakers that they don't have specific plans for. I know I've been guilty of that in the past and have had speakers sitting in boxes, not being used. I'm guessing I'm not the only person around here that has had that problem.

I think he's just saying that money might be better spent upgrading other aspects of a system currently being used.

That is a great deal on those minis though!

He can be a little touchy sometimes tongue.gif

In all seriousness I wonder if it's the language barrier (I believe Italian is his first language) where sometimes he misinterprets the tone of the post. I didn't find anything aggressive about deano's post nor was anything directed at losservatore.

Agreed, that's why I bought them to share the Energy experience on Craigs list. $331.xx delivered, I suspect given patience there will be a decent reward sharing the wealth smile.gif

Nothing, I bought the V-mini 5.0 package for $331.xx. Since I have 11 Energy speakers/subs of various vintages, I don't need more. I'll sell these on Craigs list. I'm in-between jobs and every little bit helps.

Make no mistake....some of us truly are addicts.

I have drawers/boxes/closets full of stuff I got from Woot!. All total crap!! But I also googled Energy C-100 speakers when they were $79 a pair on Woot! and ended up on this forum. Thanks to Woot! and you people I'm not only addicted but, at the moment, overdosed and in total denial!

4x C-100
1x C-C100
1x C-C50
2x RC-Mini
1x RC-Mini-CC
1x RC-LCR
2x RC-10
2x RC-70
2x RC-6C Ceiling Mount
2x VS Surround
2x V2.3 Tower
1x V2.2WM Wall Mount
1x V2.0CM Ceiling Mount

S8.2 Sub
Mirage Prestige S8 Sub
TSC ESW-10 Sub
S10.3 Sub

And really only one room, my bedroom, to put them in with only one AVR - a 12 year old Sony STR-DB930 5.1. And at the moment, NONE of it is hooked up and most is in boxes!

Must! Stop! Looking!
