I found one on Amazon... http://www.amazon.com/Energy-Speaker-Systems-72-21168-RC-LCR/dp/B001C3GQNE
Fair or way too much?
I`m brand new to this forum and hobby but I have owned Energy brand speakers for a long time just because my ears have liked what some of them sound like. and the price is right with me.
So far the people here on this thread have been super great to me and even one member has offered to send me a spare set of gold binding/shorting post. FOR FREE! Who does that?
I'll tell you who..people on this thread.
That is a really nice find.. And free shipping. Someone is really going to enjoy those!
I would call the airline and ask first if its OK to carry-on a set of speakers to see if they object.
They may ask how large the item is..usually they have a box at the counter that you can test the size of your carry-on luggage . Ask about the dimensions for carry -ons.
They may also limit how many carry-ons you are allowed. or charge you extra. Ask about that.
If the carry-on is to large they are going to send it to the belly of the plane. Has happened to me. My carry-on arrived two hours later on a different flight.
Obviously they are not going to be towers your carrying so I assume something maybe the size of a RC-LCR or smaller.
I would go to Wal-mart and buy some towels or bubble wrap if they have that and wrap the heck out of them to keep them safe and dent free.
In the luggage dept. you can find some really cheap duffel bags that would probably work for you.
I just bought one for 12 bucks large enough to stuff a sleeping bag into.
