I think you might wind up having trouble with this.

As Fears4Ears mentioned, there is a limit. For a dry run, you could package them up to your satisfaction, then measure the exterior to see if they will fit.

Otherwise, be ready to argue with someone about it and possibly lose the argument. If you lose the argument, then the next step is to check them in. If you haven't packed them to be ready to withstand being loaded like all luggage is, then you risk their being damaged.

The other (very expensive) alternative is to buy a seat. So it's worth it to put some preliminary work on this, or simply ship them on FedEx and avoid the possibly losing skirmish.

Just my 2 cents, I've fought the airlines and the airlines won. (Gratuitous murky Bobby Fuller reference)...

I know it may not be the same, but for what it's worth in my almost 7.2 setup (I have an older set of Polk Monitor 30's with my Energy otherwise all Energy setup), I have my VS Surrounds set up as side surrounds with the Polks running rear surround duty. I have the VS set as bipole speakers.

I thought just two days ago you were selling them?

Moving sale guys!!!
Still available
Why is it a moving sale? Are you actually moving somewhere?

Those speakers don't match, I don't see the point selling as a pair.
Yes moving to a new apartment by end of the year. Thats all i can do. Very good price for both speakers.

Thats not all you can do....you can sell them separately. It may be a little more work on your part, but no one needs 2 mismatching center channels. I would seriously consider selling them separately.
We will see. Its too much if i will sem them separately. So i want good price for both of them. Its not making money, just want to unload them.

If anyone is interested either one of them send me a pm and we can talk from that.

You're making money on the Veritas 2.0. Didn't you get that center for $50?
Yes. And i just bought V2.0R for $150 at L. A., and i need to ship it to ny. Coz i dont want to take the risk to carry them on the plane. More or less if how much the 150 speaker cost andshipping thats how much im willing to sell for both speakers.

So those will go on sale next?

Geez, with the prices you keep getting you'll probably find some Veritas 2.3i or 2.4i towers for cheap. Then you'd have a very nice setup with the V2.0C and V2.0 surrounds.
Lol. Im keeping the V2.0R. That i am using for my side or rear surrounds with my RC set up. I dont know which is best to put them side or rear? Because it really hard to find the matching RC R, and they cost a lot. And luckily i find $150 V2.0R.

I am not sure if i can keep the V2.0C, coz my wife will kill memthats why i am selling them and the other V5.2C.

The V2.0R are better than the RC-R anyway, you got a good deal.

Thanks a lot. If anybody want the sale price for v5.2c and v2.0c pm me. Thanks
post #49545 of 51590
nice setup caloyzki, but i still think RC10 as sides and 1 center channel for rear is a good setup with what you have. Just calibrate them so they are not super loud hehe

edit: Oh, you got the V2.0R ... call it a day and keep it 5.1 smile.gif

Thanks. Yes I'm not gonna use the two center anymore. I will have rc 10 and v2.0r for my surrounds. Should i go 5.2 or 7.2?

7.2 would be slightly better if you have a long room (lots of feet behind your main listening area) to the back wall.
If you have a pair of bipole/dipole types and a pair of standard direct firing speakers the bipole/dipole types should be the primary (Side) surrounds and the direct radiators should be back surrounds. Whether you set them as bipole or dipole has to do with preference and positioning... if they will be directly to the sides of the listener you probably want them as dipole, otherwise bipole (general rule of thumb).
Thanks guys. Ok i will go for my sides and yes they will be directly to the listener's, and i will set them dipole and off course my RC 10 will be placing behind my couch. Looking forward to get them, hopefully by the end of the week. I will let you know how the outcome. Thanks again.

Hey everyone - I just wanted to alert you to a scam I ran across. There is a site called HotInTheSale.com that is offering multiple Energy products at sort of ridiculous prices. In this case, too good to be true actually is. This is a scam site. I know almost nobody on here would make a purchase from a site with a name like that, but I wanted to alert everyone just in case.

Question:
Moved to a bigger space, the RC-Micro 5.1 center just cant keep up.

Really impressed with the micros honestly they make great sound for their size and they have a significant WAF. They disappoint a bit with some male voices and if the material isn't well mastered, cello's/violas can sometime get lost but violins usually shine, they really produce great sound within their frequency response. The sub isn't nearly as bad as people make it out.

I'm thinking I need at minimum a better center, thinking just getting a new L-C-R and using the micro's for 7.1.

How about the V-Mini's? 2+1 or 3 V-Mini-C? What do you all think?

Three V-Mini CC's definitely is a natural upgrade path.
3 V Mini -C's would probably be better than the smaller Mini V satellites. The Mini C will play a little deeper.

They forgot to mention the third way to pay, which is to take cash out of your account and then burn it, one bill at a time.
