S-Video -> RCA adapter?

post #1 of 3
Thread Starter
I have an older TV that only has the 3RCA (R,W,Y), and want to watch some DVD's from my computer. My video card has an S-Video out. Is there an adapter to go from S-Video to the 3 RCA? If so, where can I get it?

Thanks,

Frank.

Here is s-video to composite rca cable: http://shop.store.yahoo.com/videoware/index.html
I just bought a monster converter that takes rca to s-video (vcr to s-video switching), so monster may also make an s-video to rca.

Does anybody know the best web sites for Phillips / Marantz Pronto remote control temlates and software add on?

thanks

S-video to RCA is very simple because that combines the wires into a signal and ground. Although I don't know the pinout of s-video, I know there's no processing involved. RCA to S on the other hand is much more difficult and requires the inclusion of a comb-filter type device.

hope this is somewhat helpful,
jake
