I read some of your other posts on the Triad thread. You seem to really like the Triads after auditioning them. You've never listened to the Dali's if I am reading your posts correctly? The Dali dealer is a 10 hour drive.
I'll make some points for the Triad. 1. Dealer is in the "hood" 2. You've listened to them 3. You like them 4. You like the center channel as you can lay it on it's side
I make some points for the Dali: 1. You've read about them 2. They would be friendly to your Butler amp
Mike: I am a Dali owner and I think they are excellent speakers for HT and music and I'd like to tell you they are the speaker of choice versus the Triads. However, I can't do that because I've never listened to the Triads.
Now, if I was going to buy speakers and I spent some time with the Dali's, really liked them but never listened to the Triad's, what would you tell me to do? Buy what I know, versus the unknown?
Unless you are willing to drive and hear the Dali's and make your own decision, I'd buy the Triads because you've listened to them and like them. If both of these were unknowns to you, I'd highly recommend the Dali Helicons!!
