not sure how many other regions have this option - but here you can get HDXTra (which includes sports pass) in a package with an HDDVR for $15 a month.

To me it's worth it because I get to see all my local teams on the local RSN's, I get NBCSports Network which shows hockey and has some pretty good talk shows related to sports, the NHL channel and quite a few others. I am a huge sports nut so for me the choice was easy.

your local sports + NBCSN shouldn't be part of the sports pass

Doh! You're right, I was thinking of BTN and all those extra channels. That's what I pay extra for.

Yay!!

I can't believe this day actually came. TWC stripped NFL network away from me when Adelphia died, and now it's finally back.

The cost is relative if you look at what else we pay for. Fox News is a bout $.95 a month and I do not ever watch it so why should I pay for it? It just is what it is.

So others can. duh

And that is the point about the NFL Network -- pay attention to what is being written!

I’ve had the Sports Pass forever. Way back when it was a whole $1.95/month extra, but included only like 6 or 7 channels. Fuel TV, Tennis Channel, NBA TV and the three Fox Sports Diginets. I never really watched much on those channels but for only $2 buck extra, I figured what the hell, if I watch one thing a month it would be worth it. Now at $6/month and a ton more channels, I wouldn’t think of not having the Sports Pass. NHL Network alone is worth it for me, plus Big Ten Network, PAC 12 Network, MLB Strike Zone and now NFL Red Zone.

I’d say Red Zone alone would be worth the extra $6/month. And come January, you could always cancel the Sports Pass and resume again in Fall 2013. You’d essentially be $24/year for NFL Red Zone, $30 at most. For the previous two seasons, I’ve watched NFL Red Zone on my phone using the NFL Mobile app from Verizon. Sprint is my cell provider, and I was used a hacked version of the app that allowed me to install, use and stream content from the app, but I was unable to find an updated hacked version. So this year I’ve been watching DirecTVs version of the Red Zone channel, and while it’s okay. I like the overall presentation of the real Red Zone Channel better. So I am absolutely thrilled this deal finally got done. The NFL Network was never a big deal to me, although, since they have more games this year, I thought they deserved to be carried, but NFL Red Zone has always been what sparked my interests in getting this deal done between the NFL and Time Warner.

Glad to see this is done, can’t wait to get the channels up and running!

And I don't ask to have you pay extra for what I might watch (which, in reality, really isn't that much).

Sure, lots of folks like to watch people getting dangerous, sometimes life-threatening, concussions, and watching games that spread 11 minutes of action over much more than a three-hour time span.

I don't deny it.

Also 1498, 1499 for NFL Network HD and Red Zone HD (498, 499 SD) .... here in Raleigh Durham, NC. A little odd that it's not in the 500/1500s where the rest of the sports channels reside. My guess is that it gets moved to that area at some point in the future.

Yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cincinnati/Southwest Ohio has the same channel numbers for the 2 new channels. Just watched a little of NFLN and got some freezeups, one lasting 20-30 seconds, in the first 5 minutes.

I know you're being sarcastic, but it seems like TWC NC is trying to devolve our halfway decent lineup to be more like your mess. Recent additions, including NFLN as already mentioned above, have not been placed in the blocks previously designated for their particular programming genre. They went through all the trouble and (initial) customer inconvenience to fix it a while back and now seem to have forgotten all about it.

The NFL Network and NFL Redzone are going to be SDV in areas that use SDV unless they are in NYC which might not put them on SDV. I know that my division has put the channels on SDV. Right now they channels are on 687MHz for the NFL Network and 771MHz for Redzone on my node.

I think the areas that don't have SDV are probably going to get the channels next week they have to find room for the channels and cannot just add the channels on the fly like the SDV systems as they have to make sure that the bandwidth is there to add the channels or if they have to make room.

I already know of one system in Texas that is not getting Redzone in SD/HD because they don't have a sports tier. They did get NFL Network on 120 SD and 813 HD. That system just hit 100 HD channels with the NFL Network addition. smile.gif

That's sad. I was hoping they would roll out a logical national channel line up like they talked about last year.

I agree, but that is the way they are listed in the onscreen Channel Guide and I can confirm from viewing all 4 channels.

I took those readings from my Cisco HD receiver box. Pressing select for 7 seconds, then the up button brings in the diagnostic screens.
