I should have added the Midwest systems that have the common lineup for channels 100 and above (excluding locals, which vary in the low 1000s for HD). In my region, northeast Ohio, there are STILL systems that are analog only (no channels above 100) and they are:

Harrison County, OH:
Hopedale
Leesville
Jewett
Scio

Ottawa County, OH:
Put-in-Bay

Does anyone have guide data for nfl redzone? My guide shows "not available". I'm trying to set a recording for Sunday and my box (scientific atlanta 8300) and it won't let me without guide data. I'm located in albany ny.

For Albany:

NFLN (SD) 631
NFL Red Zone (SD) 632
NFLN HD 1716
NFL Red Zone HD 1717

Anyone else getting "Unavailable, please try again" with NFL Network and Red Zone? Here in Raleigh, NC, this has been the case since about 10p last night. Before that, everything was fine. Called TWC tech support and they said that this is intentional. Said that the "official launch" is 12p today-- and that both channels will be back on line then. Seems fishy to me. I've been watching the NFLN since it came up on Friday. Told the CSR that and he said that the "some servers" had it up but it's now down system wide until official launch. Huh?

In South Carolina I see NFLN but have not been able to add Sports Pass for the Red Zone. Says Unable to Purchase.
As of 9:35 AM, the RedZone channel is still up for me even though, I don't have Sports Pass...
I still get RedZone as well. These issues of some not getting some channels sound like they are related to who is in charge of particular head-ends?
Redzone is still working for me here in Raleigh. Will see if it goes dead at 1pm or maybe they are doing a free preview weekend :-)
I had to add the channels manually in my Media Center install thanks to Zap2It, and NFLNet works, but Red Zone says I need to subscribe so I'm not as lucky as a few of you apparently. smile.gif

This is old news to the 90% of the country that has had NFLN but, after watching my first 15 minutes of NFLN RedZone, I'm hooked like a crackhead. It's like being in a Las Vegas sportsbook without the cigarette smoke.smile.gif
post #9011 of 9087
We finally got ESPN Goal Line this fall and with Red Zone added today there is hardly time to go to the bathroom! This is a great way to watch all the games when the NFL won't show me a game I would really watch. (Can't have a dish)
Apparently there are no commercials on the Red Zone. I can't find the time to check the golf on NBC.
Dual tuner DVR. Pause on one or both tuners depending on whether you want to check other programming or take a bathroom break.

Do this at your own risk depending on what version of the Guide you are running. Many confirmations of the dual live buffers disappearing. I've been having it since the update to 5.2.0_9. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.

ROFL! I am with ya on that point biggrin.gif.

Around 4 PM my local headend must of got the memo late. Because they turned it off on me. (Redzone) I like it, but not enough to add the Sports Pass to my package.
RedZone still on for me. I bet it won't last.
I got to enjoy about an hour of free Redzone and then the fun ended. Ended up ordering the sports pass just to get Redzone though.
they finally got the channels working - just when the games ended for the day....

also - guys - again - check and see if you should be getting HDXtra intread of just the sports pass - it may be cheaper (and you get more)

Yeah! biggrin.gif Nice timing - man oh man the fast switching around, zero commercials, and some of the games themselves (Lions/Titans for example) were unbelievable.

Who needs to watch one game, when you can see the fun of all the games! "The Whiparound" on steroids! And legal too. biggrin.gifcool.gif

I do it with a TiVo HD. I wouldn't trust TWs equipment to do something like that.

$6/month...$1.50/week. Is that really going to break the bank? Values like that, now that RZC is included, are hard to come by these days.

It is a huge value! You spend way more than that for a 2 hour movie at a theater and for $1.50 for 7 hours of entertainment? You cannot beat it.

This Summer, Time Warner Cable gave us a week or so of all of the Showtime and The Movie Channel offerings. When the free sample ended, all of the channels disappeared except for two. Showtime (primary channel) and TMC Xtra remained. I can't understand why, but they have not been taken away even months later. Does anyone else on TWC have this situation?
Back in April and early May TWC did the same here in El Paso letting things pass unencrypted over basic cable, only it was the main HBO and SHOWTIME channels with both HD and SD feeds (east and west coast), and then several CINEMAX, STARZ, ENCORE and other minor HBO channels all in SD. It lasted about 4 weeks. Then all but the main HBO and SHOWTIME HD channels disappeared. Once it was down to just HBO and SHOWTIME, I posted about it on the El Paso forum and that night even they disappeared. My suggestion, keep it to yourself. Nothing like getting something for free from someone who regularly shafts you.

I still haven't received anything regarding the upcoming monthly rental fees for the cable modem. I have already had this modem for more than 2 years--so they shouldn't be charging me for something that has already been expensed. The modem I had before that I had for 10 years, without them once saying "Hey, we have a newer modem you can use. Bring that old one in and get a newer one." So now they want to charge me for old equipment just because they are issuing newer equipment to others. Enough of my ranting.

A couple of friends in nearby towns also have these 2 channels so it's not localized to this area. Maybe the idea is to let people get hooked good and proper and then yank it away. Actually, I'm finding that I was not missing much. It's nice to be able to check them out, but there's plenty of other programming available that serves the purpose. Of course, if they had something going like The Sopranos and yanked the channels, I suppose it might cause me a little concern.

Not exactly related to HD channel additions, but sometime between adding NFL Network and now Time Warner Cable updated their website.

If someone wants to point me in the direction of programming changes please do so, because I can't find the link anymore

Need to find it in your area. Los Angeles is http://www.timewarnercable.com/SoCal/learn/programming/local/alerts.html . Try search "time warner programming alerts" + your division name. /Dan

So, the latest antics with Warner for me now is they have taken away several sports channels like Big ten, CBS sports and Fox sports atlantic and want me to pay $6 extra for these channels that everyone had been getting with HD cable. I know exactly what this is about... This is about them adding NFL network, and they are making us now pay for these other sports channels because NFL network is costing that much to be on basic. SCUM.

Odd, our TWC division has always had BTN in the sports pack and since TWC Sportsnet arrived on the scene and having an agreement with CBSSN to simulcast games on TWCSN, that CBSSN moves into the variety pack (still available on the Sports Pass).
