How did this nova invitational end up as part of your build thread!? haha.
Might want to get there a bit early if your schedule permits. They are only open until 8:00pm on weekdays. Not sure how long they allow "tasters" to stay inside once they close.

Since the new guys won't know what we look like I dug up this old image so you will recognize us.

This image was generated from one of our earlier NOVA HT meets at the now defunct Old Dominion Brewery just across the street from Lost Rhino. that's Mark on the left and me on the right. How fitting since the Lost Rhino guys came out of Old Dominion.

See ya tonight!

Sterling area has plenty of places....

Dulles Town Center has a Green Turtle. There's a Velocity 5 at Great Falls Plaza (Lowe's Island). Applebee's right off 7 and the and of course O'Faolains. There's also a Glory Days in the shopping center at Rt 7 and Dranesville Rd.

I'm just sayin'.

OK were still meeting at 7pm at the Lost Rhino Brewery, I'm going to try to get there earlier thou (maybe 6.30pm)

Looks like it closes at 8pm but not sure if kick you out then.

We can decide on a follow on venue for those still in need of lubrication.... but prob best keep to something local.

Was there any particular reason you put the soffits behind the drywall instead of on top of it? From a sound isolation perspective it seems like either way would work the same, but it might be easier to frame the soffits if they were outside of the drywall since they aren't part of the building framing at that point.

In hindsight was better methods on doing the soffets.... I pretty much just followed what others had done and also as the soffetts were used to route HVAC and Conduit was easier to have full access.

Awww, I missed the meet (again)!

Why is BIG the only one sweating in that picture?

I think Tom's was saturated so not easily to spot and as can see I'm super fit so didn't work up a sweat

Brit, what did you do to frame the top of the bottom section on the front wall. Ie, where my kids would try to climb up on just under the screen smile.gif. Is that fabric panel with nothing in it or something solid?
