Someone should rent--I can't bring myself to suggest "buy," even in jest--the movie Ballistic: Ecks v. Sever, at 0%
, to see if we can complete this thread.
Well, I suppose I have you to thank for the brilliant suggestion...
Yes, I was in the EB games and on their used dvd rack was Ballistic for 4$, and yes I bought so that I could find out if it was a candidate for our list of "Subwoofer movie that DON'T suck". To answer in one word, dear-god-no.
Really, instead of even thinking about watching this movie you should just go and read the rotten tomatoes reviews. They are much more entertaining than this movie. For example:
"You'll have more fun setting fire to yourself in the parking lot. You'll be more entertained getting hit by a bus."
Is Ballistic worth the price of admission? Absolutely not. It sucked. Would I see it again? Please see previous answer.
Ok, you might laugh at just how awful this movie is as you watch it. In two seperate scenes the good guy has the bad guy at gunpoint, but then they throw their gun to the ground to demonstrate how seriously angry they are.
Ah, right, so was there bass? Sadly, no. There is same bad 80s-heavy rock and some rumbling bass in what is supposed to be the climatic final battle in the train yard, but despite many gas-fireball explosions the bass was lacking.
I feel like I've taken one for the team here. Everyone reading can now know to avoid this movie because a) it well and thoroughly did Suck, and b) there just wasn't any bass.
Oh, I almost forgot about the dvd extra! You do get a "game" of rock paper scissors. You even get to choose if you want to play as Super Agent X (I mean Ecks) or as Super Agent Severed and then choose high kick, punch, or low kick. I know my prose can't come close expressing the height of experience that this game provides, but in comparison to the movie, it truly is the highpoint. One can only imagine what the blu ray experience of this will be like.
