Anyone own the Monster AVL-300 - Page 2

I think the Green button is called "Start", not Media Center Green Button. Page up and down should work, these would be mapped as CH+/CH-. Have you considered looking at what the keyboard mappings translate to?

Yes, but like I said, there's no way to input custom commands (mapped keyboard macros) directly into the monster harmony crap in the first place. So, the fact that the most useful commands are not present in the profile brings it back to square 1.

Also there's no "start" command in the media center se profile. And page up/page down just change the channel +1 or -1 down, which is apparently not scrolling up or down a page...

I found a couple posts that clarify a bit of the programing for this remote. Keep in mind though, that monster's version of the harmony software is about 1/3rd as intuitive as logitech's. The menus are not the same, and you don't have the same control.

Although it's helped a bit, monster is still an utter fail of a pos.

Is it as simple as just using the Logitech software ?

Does it recognize the remote and function with it exactly as if the remote were the equivalent Logitech model ?

This is not the easiest configuration interface I have seen but I believe it's functional enough.

I downloaded the latest software available for it at(Manuals, demos and downloads):

I don't have a htpc at the moment, but it's controlling my avr, lcd, cable box, dvd player and ps3 flawlessly. My main gripe with it is definately it's charging system.
Not even the ergonomics are that bad lol, it looks weird but I got used to it and doesn't feel uncomfortable.

I got it for less than $80 and it's RF.

Does this have the same kind of buttons as the Logitech? My Harmony 360 remote is worthless now because the buttons have stopped working (metal dome contact style) and I've read of many, many others having the same problem with Harmony remotes.

Also, in the configuration software, is it possible to assign any function from any device to any button in an activity, as in the Harmony?

I typically set up the transport next/previous buttons to function as page up/down when in Cable TV activities; I know the Monster has page up/down buttons, but they're located in a horrible position away from all the other menu navigation buttons.

Also, can I assign that weird navigational stick thing to send HTPC commands?

Hi! Do anyone know how to use AVL 300 to access LG service menu? I've read the related sites and still have no clue. I do not want to waste $ and buy another universal remote...
