I have looked at other theads that provide mathematical steps needed to answer my question but I am not sure that I know what I'm doing.
you really cannot have too much power. The speakers will only use what they need. I believe the Emotiva XPA-5 would be an excellent choice it is 200 watts into 8 ohms and 300 hundred into 4 ohms.
The RS6 is 6ohms ,which would be about 250 watts. It will make them sound wonderful, i promise.
I currently use an LPA-1 and i am using two channels for each speaker (bi-amping). The available power is approx 175 watts from each channel into 6 ohms, which they are .
If you remove the metal plates from the back of the speaker that tie the woofers to the mid and tweeters and use one amp channel for each.
Not trying to confuse you but they sound GREAT this way. With the XPA-5 you would not NEED to bi-amp. It has enough power for the RS6.
You just use your pre-amp outputs from the receiver or pre-amp to an input on your amp and connect the speaker terminals to the speaker.
Hope this helps.
Maybe someone can explain it better than i tried to do
