turn the gain down & phase to 0 on both subs then slowly increase .. try that

you dont need a Y cable from your receiver unless you have two subs and only one output.

he's got the THX subs & the THX amp
widerscreen are U trying to use 3 subs ?
Is the humming from the amp or the sub?

I know I had some hum from the amp and moving the interconnects help some. Eventually I relocated the amp and have not heard anything from it since.

Ive heard of them, but have never seen them in person, Im assuming he is going to have to use a Y cable from the avr then.

with all the $ i have in my HT seems like I need some insurance ,

I have an APC J15BLK that I've had for a few years. It's like yours but it includes battery backup power too. Even though I'm in a fairly young house (~20 years), the wiring that feeds the local grid isn't all that stable sometimes and the J15 gets a lot of activity.

widerscreen U don't have the Klipsch sub amp yet ?
if that's the case then use only the old SUB till U get the sub amp .. not wise to under power those THX subs

I just received a deal that im thinking about pulling the trigger on and wanted to know what u guys Think- klipsch F20's and center 20 for $650 to my doorstep?
Thanks for ur thoughts.

OK, I am going to jump on the vanns 40% off (although it is actually 35% off) deals.

To recap I now have the RF7's and rc64 up front. Wides are rf52's and rears/surrounds are rb 51's.

Obviously, the first upgrade should be the rs 62 surrounds. Should I upgrade the 52's to 62's? My friend will buy the 52's (I am giving him a killer deal, 50% off) or should I keep the 52's as wides. If I keep them I might get the RB 81's although my location options are not that great. With the Onkyo I really want to take advantage of the 9.2 especially since I ordered an XPA-5.
the RS surrounds are only good if they are located right & not on stands. Google Bi-pole speakers
yer better with the RB's on stands or RF's & aimed @ The M L P for surrounds than the RS's & they are cheaper also
post #13550 of 22396
The RS line is a little too expensive IMHO also.
the RS's don't work as wides OR heights @ all
the horns are pointed @ 90 degree from themselves

MLP=Midddle Listening position? The RS surrounds would be up very high, over 7 feet mounted behind me on pillars.

Should I get the 62's and position them slight back of the MLP facing in?

Should I upgrade my wides to 62's?

M L P is the Main Listening Position
yes on all !
the RS surrounds are expensive & the horns Do Not face the main listening position
Horns are to be aimed @ the M L P always direct radiating is the rule of the day

I think your wrong about the RS line...for surrounds they fit the bill for moving sound around the HT...everyone keeps thinking MLP is the thing however, in a Home Theater...or should I say in MOST HT's there is no MLP, unless you live alone and no one likes you!
I can see the rears as RF/RB but got to argue on the sides.
I love my RS62's on the sides. They diffuse the sound and give a more enveloped experience than direct firing. I don't agree that you always want horns pointed at you. And let me tell you, the RS62 is a beast. It's a significantly different performer than the RS52. Yes, it was pricey, but nothing else will do the job it does. They run with the LaScalas all day, and that's saying something. Per a phone call I had with Klipsch directly, they recommend the RS62 as a higher performer than even the THX line of surrounds.
I think my wall might be too low for side surrounds?

I use the RS-62s along with my 3 KL-650s, terrific surrounds. I'm glad I went with them, direct radiating in my room is much too localized.

Just picked up a pair of rf 82's and a pair of 52's (the 52's are for my friend who is buying my sx 608 and rc 52). Call in guys, I got more than 40% off!

So it is going to be the RF7 mains, rc 64 center...rf 82 wides!

I am keeping my rb 51's mounted 7 feet up on the wall, and will run the rf 52'2 slightly behind me toed in.

If I am watching TV alone they will be equidistant. If my wife is watching w/ me (usually a movie) I will move the on 52 out and re-run Audyssey.
