my Crites drivers are new tweets & new cast AL woofs, the squawker drivers are new BUT are the exactly the same as what Klipsch used in the Cornwall in 78 , i went with new as it was just about the same price as replacing the Old diaphragms with new ones plus shipping back & forth . the old squawkers drivers & cast iron Horns sold for more than the OEM replacement drivers & the CornScala PH800 horn bodies retailed for .

The 2nd link has some pics of the rb-81ii insides you can see the difference of the horn and crossover vs rf-7ii from the first link

look at that cherry! Perfect! They did not have cherry when i ordered so i am not going to cry over it plus the black will blend in more in a dark room. Keep the cherry color for the 2-channel people. The tester tested it with some lady gaga lol. That tweeter looks fairly impressive from the back

Man I wish I could read it it's the first real test I've seen on them. If i ran them no grills all the time the cherry would be perfect but I kind of like the look of the black better with the grills on. The half grill is more seamless with the black to me.

Sound Distributors Inc.
THESE SPEAKERS WERE SHIPPED OUT BY UPS
AND HAD SOME VERY MINOR DAMAGE DONE TO THEM.
CORNER OF EACH SPEAKER HAS SMALL DING.
SPEAKERS WORK 100% PERFECT.
WE WILL PACK THEM UP TIGHT FOR SHIPPING.
FUL 5 YEAR KLIPSCH WARRANTY IS VALID.

the thing is they dont provide any picture of the damage.. so im not sure

By the time we hit 1000 pages of posts i will be rocking out on klf-30ii

I love trying out diff speakers. I have done this with telescopes for over 34 years and have owned around 200 scopes over the years.

Wow thanks learn something new everyday
Seemed like a pretty good review on the rf-7ii they did gave a comparison to the old rf-7.

Overall, the new RF-7 is not only a significant evolution of its predecessor - it is also one of the best offers in its price range

The 82-II's really do look different from the 82-I's. They look almost toy like to me. Not a knock on them, just how they look to me. Nice videos and thanks for sharing.

The feet on the rf-82ii are trickle down technology from the rf-7ii

Might be on to something there.

should I have any concerns about timbre or pitch mismatches when pairing a RC-64 II with RF-7 classics?

Also - is the best way about finding the best deal on a RC-64 II brand new emailing vanns/worldwide directly and asking the best price they can do?

The way in which you 2 reacted from a harmless feminine comment, that was in good fun by the way, is a little disappointing.

Nah all taken in Context !

But You have to figure that the different speaker MFG'ers all take the "W A F " . into consideration when designing their products . Look @ Bose they have made Lots o'Cash on Girlie looking tiny speaks L O L

Lol we both answered in joking ways. Sorry if our jokes were not funny enough and disappointed you, we have not claimed to be funny people. Our speakers may in fact be feminine because i have to say i am very attracted to them.
Hotel that is not a perfect match but i have always wanted to try it. Give it a shot! Calling them may work in your favor if you are a smooth talker.

Also sorry for such a big picture earlier guys, i even surprised myself with that one! Can you believe i have replaced every single piece of that system with different things. Ahem, ended up with the same tv stand and ps3 somehow though...

I find that you spend cash on new equipment rather than new furniture Very Manly ! L O L
post #14999 of 22400
I actually sold that tv stand with that tv and then went out and bought the same stand. Although that stand is manly i would prefer something nicer and with wood. The problem is that stand fits my needs so well. With the top glass shelf and supports taken off i have about 1/4'' on each side of my rc-64ii. The rc-64i would have fit perfectly without taking that shelf off. I am watching black swan right now, sound is not the best (keep in mind i am running 2.0 right now) i have not watched a blu-ray in a while and this just reminds me how much i love blu-ray. Cannot wait to get a 65'' lcd in the future for $1200.

i just won an auction on ebay for a pair of rf82II lightly damaged (near perfect condition) the bid started 500$ and i won the set for 660$.
i have ask the seller how bad the damage was, and he replied to me; very lightly damage on the back. Cant wait to receive them now!

So now my system will be as follow;

left and right; Rf 82 II
center; i need to replace what i have right now with a rc 62II but it work ok for now

Surround; rf 62

klipsch sub that im not sure what it is , but its new and i just love the sound i get out of it!

pioneer elite sc 35

its all comming together now, my home theater project is reaching the end( i hope!)
