I've got a pair of Heresies in the rear too. But mine aren't "hung" They are built into the upper cabinets in the back of the room in a custom enclosure with removable fabric panels. The room is still in progress, so this isn't the finished look, but you get the idea.

Thanks, but I gotta say it's starting to look pale in comparison to Tony's! Nice Heresy enclosure!!!

My room is wide to accomodate Klipschorns, so my display is centered on the long wall rather than the short wall. The room is 20x18. The kids have an adjacent room with an old RPTV, so we each have our space.

Well if it came down to it yea sound quality to me would win every time. If I didn't care about that I wouldn't even have klipsch speakers let alone an rf-7ii set up. But fortunately for me and the rest of the audio world they do make great sounding speakers that also look the part so to speak. But hey 30 years ago they did look the part so nothing wrong with wanting vintage looking gear that sounds great. , and it is a different sound some like it more some don't. It's like classic vs modern music there is no right answer. Definitely no speaker making law that says that a speaker has to be built and designed like the 70s, or might somehow lose sound quality

Respectfully, I understand the comments on Heritage (even though it hurts my feelings). I also understand that some folks make their choices for reasons other than audio. And, some make them for audio and choose Reference.

It's an interesting topic though. I'm blessed with a room that allows me to choose just about anything on the market and make that decision 100% based on the sound I prefer. Not only are my LaScalas big and awkward, but add the two Danley's into the mix and my room could start to look like a warehouse.

That said, I would enjoy having some Nautilus in my upstairs living room! If you're going for pretty, it don't get much better than that. Hell they wouldn't even have to have drivers in them. Just some Nautilus cabinets as a piece of sculpture.

Lmao everything is behind your screen. If you had to put all that up in a normal living room that might be a deal breaker?

No disrespect to the gentlemen helping me, but I wanted to pose this question to everyone on here. Should I leave my x-overs as audyssey has set them (all at 40, center at 50)? He says yes because i have plenty of power in my system to do that. Rf 82 II line, driven by xpa-5 and an onkyo 3008 driving the heights/wides.

Also want some opinions on dynamic eq. I felt audyssey left the bass way too low (everything calibrated to 72 db, subs to 67-68) I have 2 epik empires btw. Turning it on certainly punched everything up but I'm not sure it sounds right. Should I just raise the trim on my sub channel instead? Audyssey left most my speakers at -7 to -12 so I have headroom to raise em up.

Right now everything sounds good but I'm just trying to find the perfect scene to demo to help me make the right decisions on th above questions. I hoping I can get a few of you to chime in on this.

Oh and if it helps, I play most my action movies at -10/-15 below reference. So pretty loud I guess you could say.

yes some say La Scala's are not the greatest looking but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I love the looks of them and enjoy their sound even more. Yes you do need a bigger room for them but I have had them for several years and have had them in much much smaller rooms then their dedicated theater they are in now. I loved them then and I love them now. I also run Heresy's for my side surrounds and a couple of subs to smooth out the bottom end.

Referencehead, that was the reason I posted this, "I'm blessed with a room that allows me to choose just about anything on the market and make that decision 100% based on the sound I prefer." Yes, all of mine is hidden. For an audio setup, it only seems logical to make choices that keep audio as the priority. I fully understand not having that option though.

Me too! I much prefer looking at the angular wooden bass bin of the La Scala than looking at a rectangular speaker grill cover.

Custom built center utilizing 2 10" KV1089 woofers from an RF7, K55 Mid horn and a K77 HF Horn hand built Xover... Here are some pics

Here is a pic of the cherry RF7's in my truck. I found these 24 miles from my house. These don't show up everyday in my local area. Had to jump on them.

Yeah maybe ... seems alittle high, but not a over the top price he's asking high .. i would think you'd need to look & hear them 1st for $1250 ... but him having the boxes says he cares about the speakers ennuf to know that having kept the boxes will keep the resale value up .soo they "should" be in good condition , but buyer beware is warranted , I want to hear that none of drivers were blown .

So noe that I have all my stuff set up the way I like, what's the best way of selling all of my old stuff? I have a whole klipsch setup, a yamaha receiver and an SVS sub I need to unload to offset the hole in my wallet? Audiogon? Craigslist? eBay?
