I guess I understated that I was looking for an opinion from a forum of people who own Klipsch. Thank you for trying to help me. That said, I already knew that the RC-62ii matches the RF-62ii. Not trying to be a knob, but that's pretty apparent. Reference Center with 6" x 2 should match Reference Fronts that also have 6" x 2. I get that. I was just trying to figure out what the improvements were made between the RC-3 and the RC-52ii. I get that the 52 has 2 5" mids instead of the 2 6" that the RC-3 has.

Thanks anyways.

I have the same issue that the other member here has. The RC-3 is a bit big for my current setup, so I was toying with the idea of opening the RC-52ii and trying it out.

Why don't you just open the box and try it out? Then pick and stick with the one that sounds best to your ears. I'm sure the rc-52 II is the one you should be keeping.

I know you were kidding, but in cold climates leaving this kind of stuff on all the time doesn't cost you a dime if you already use electric heating. The thermostat will just turn on the baseboards a little less to compensate because heat is coming in from elsewhere. Same for lights except that some of the energy escapes through windows. If you use oil heating and electric would be cheaper, then you'd be saving money.

Anyone know what a great price is for a pair of Klipsch RF-7II's, new not b stock, color being black?

I was offered today, 2000.00 for the pair along with a Yamaha RX-A3010 for 1399.00.

At that price they won't be around long. They sell new for $3200.00 per pair and on occasion (seldom) can be found for $3000 per pair. If you're seriously considering you might want to act quickly. They are outstanding speakers.

I figured as much. I contacted acoustic sound design and jr. The best I could get before this deal was 2200.00 out of acoustic design. JR would do 2499.

61's needing more amplification than typical AVR.....I got a pair on with my OYNK 5008; for rears. And the oynk is running 4 channels for all surrounds. And it providing PLENTY of power to them.

Got the deal. Pulled the trigger on the Yamaha RX-A3010 and the pair of RF-7II's and I can't wait to get them.

I do know the saying, too good to be true but this is from a major online retailer of electronics and I have bought everything from 60" quattrons to recievers, velodynes, etc for the last 10 years. I was off by a 100.00 on the deal though. Total out the door on the RF-7II's and the Yamaha was 3499.00 with free shipping.

There will be no issues and they are a certified authorized dealer to boot. It should all go great with the set of Rythmik FV15HP's I bought a couple weeks ago. I have the Boston VR3 fronts right now and the Klipsch should work much better than the Bostons with the dual 15" subs.

Use the VR3 for rears and get a RC-62 or RC-64 center and you will have a Great HT system. Enjoy the Yamaha.Good AVR... I have two different Yamaha AVR and both work great.

I actually have a rc-7 to go with the rf-7's. Should be a good match.

Yep.RC-7 is a good center.. you should be very happy for a long time. I was suprised that a Yamaha AVR would have a warm sound on my 1979 Cornwall fronts after running tubes years ago for music. Now I am hooked on Bluray and added the RC-62 and RS3-II rears and two Klipsch Synergy Sub 12" 300/650 BASH and a Yamaha RX-V1900 HD 7.1 AVR in a very small 10X14 den. Had go wall mount for rears only one rear corner in the back of the room or I would have used my Heresy II that are in the bedroom for rears for my 5.2 HT system.

On my current setup I have KF-28's in the front, KC-25 Center with some RS-42II for surround and KS-14's in the rear. Also running dual front and rear reference 12 inch subs. All powered by a Yamaha RX-A3000 and an external amp for the rear surrounds. I have the opportunity to get my hands on a new pair of RF-62II fronts and RS-52II surrounds for a ridiculous price. A few questions:

Would upgrading to the RF-62II's in the front be that much of an upgrade or more of a side step? Dual 8's vs dual 6.25's.

How quickly do you think a center channel upgrade would need to take place? My main concern here is if I move the KF's to the bedroom (way oversized for the room), my current center (RF-42) will be way undersized. I also have a set of RF-42 fronts that would no longer have a home.

I have a feeling that if I start this process it will turn into an avalanche of purchases to get everything all matched up.

Thoughts?
