For my fronts, I have my Klipsch at 33" stands, which places them about half way up the height of our 42" Panny plasma. For the rears I have those about 55" up on the wall, which places them at around 18" above ear level.

Okay guys, pulled the trigger on a pair of RF-7ii's. Probably won't be here for another week, but they're on the way. biggrin.gif

I have noticed my Cornwall fronts mid horns are at ear level when setting in the center of my HT system. My rears I had to go wall mounts and have them higher up but by aiming them down at the back of the sofa that is the center of the fronts and rears they sound better now aimed down. When possible have all the surrounds at ear level or aimed down at you.

For just stereo. always have your fronts so when you are setting the mids are ear level and they are towed in some so you can look down the throats of the mids. I have my front Cornwalls 7 feet apart and sofa 7 feet back, same for rears.this helped too. I really need a bit larger room but I am happy.
I have RC62 center and RS3-II's for rears and two Klipsch Sub 12" 300/650 watt BASH for 5.2 in 7X14 room. Yamaha RX-V1900 HD AVR 130X7 rooms correction program worked great balancing the Heritage and Reference Klipsch as they were not "Timber matched" yet in this small room they blend in Awsome for HD Blurays Super happy.

I'd recommend either Mike at ASD or Mike at AVS. They are both mentioned frequently in this forum.

If you're looking at A stock, Mike @ AVS (the wonderful folks who sponsor this forum) is great. He was the voice of reason in clarifying my listening prefs, and helped feel confident in my choice of an AVR w/ pre-outs to drive the 7's. (We shall not open that latter can of worms again....)

I went with B-stock - I was so pleased with b-stock cherry RC-64ii I got from Mike at ASD I got the matching b-stock cherry 7's. No offense to AVS Mike, but I don't think anyone can beat ASD Mike on b-stock cherry 7's pricing. The only difference is a darker shade of cherry veneers, which I prefer .

Just sayin' who's best to take advice from ? rolleyes.gif

I always side with people who have personal experience with the equipment of question .

I find that owners are the ones to listen to ....biggrin.gif

You need to go to the My Profile tab and change in Account Details, the number of Posts per page to 100.

This is kinda a noob question, but what exactly do you mean by "A" stock and "B" stock? What's the difference?

A-stock, everything is in brand-new, perfect, no flaw finishes; first class.

B-stock, open box returns, factory referbs, minor blemishes, not perfectly matching quality control color chips, etc; second class.
