As I stated several posts ago I bought a set cheap (heh not exactly) left over from stock at a local high end dealer. I have the RF-63's and the RC-64 hooked up to a Pioneer Elite 53. Do any of you guys have an opinion about what surrounds I can buy that will match better than the Bose 301's I have currently running? I think the RS-62 II's would match the best wouldn't they? I don't really want to drop that much cash on surrounds as I haven't thought of surrounds as that important in the past but wonder what your opinions are. Do you guys think that cheaper RS-52 II's would be sufficient to tie it all together or even RS-42 II's?
look at the RB-61 as long as you can aim the Bookshelves speakers at the seating positions they can work even better than the RS IMHO & the prices on the RB line is way cheaper than the RS line
I myself like direct radiators (RB's ) over bi-poles (RS's ) google both speaker types & educate yourself on how each works . I feel the RS's speakers are way over priced for what they offer . I never bought into the theory of bouncing the sound off the walls . If you have horns then the horn should be aimed at the listening position ( Your Ears ! )
AND Yes the surrounds now make up a huge amount of content in the modern 5.1 & 7.1 sound tracks in the the newest movies , I was stunned on how the surrounds were used in the new Bond film " Skyfall " the action scenes & even the low level conversation scenes took on a new life that made for a total immersion feel to the filmEdited by Fastslappy - 3/14/13 at 2:58pm
