My home theater floor consists of ikea rugs covering the entire floor, which was covered in carpet (white, ugly!) already. And below that is wood then a 4ft tall crawlspace.
So how are the new subs?

I'll be able to open them up and play around with them on Wednesday, my first day off for this week. (I work nights, sun-tues, and every other sat)

Seriously?

Multiple subs, right?

I can't lift mine alone at around 150 lbs, I am guessing. But 413 lbs!

Someone in the SVS forum showed me an MBM-12 MK2 which is more of a midbass sub. At this point it's either gonna be this. . .

PC12-Plus

-or-

PC12-NSD with a MBM-12 MK2 or SB-1000 right behind the listening position (that's where my BIC America is right now and I def feel more "punch" than when I turn it off)

Then I would suggest dual SVS PC12-NSD subs. If we can help you, give us a call.

He'll yes, With everything behind the screen I wish I would have done DIY. Would have saved a lot of money

Lithography? Dude! I work in photo too, yellow lights and all. It's amazing how fast these scanners process wafers. Then you add immersion technology on top of that. It's insane! Been here for 6 years and this stuff still amazes me.

I'm a Manufacturing Tech right now, with a goal of being a full on Equipment Tech in the future.

did you know this machines where designed and made in netherlands by ASML ? they started making 20nm finfet massproduction (intel tri-gate) and end of the year they hope to start with 16nm chips, prototype of these machines where succesfull and just finished this month. intel is starting 14nm production next year even. some amazing leap in technology is comming up the next years to come as intel and samsung and TSMC is pumping a lot of money in ASML next year to boost the production and design of new machines and technology. this EUV is really amazing lithography technology.

and even newer technology is being worked on as we speak. prototypes of that comming next year also.

nah .. its a mess lol. i really need to clean up someday :o

yup the advancement is way beyond our understanding of current technology. what normal people know as the newest state-of-the-art tech is actually allready more then 10 years old, its just that we are now finally capable to actually use it for mass-production. we have 2  4K projectors at work that do 4K resolution in 3D and their 6 yrs old and ready for replacement. cost only about 24000€ each.

i wish all here a happy new year and the best wishes for 2014. i hope all of your dreams come true and that you will find that ultimate dreamtheater you've allways dreamed about.

i also hope that everyone will take care of eachother in times of need and that we all prosper. some of us on this earth are not as fortunate as we are and we have to cherish them too.

whatever you can do to help and reach out to the other , every little thing even if you perhaps find it unusefull or not worthy or too little, is a thing worth to do if you can help out a fellow earthling with it.

in the end it's the small things and the time spend with loved ones that count. no material stuff is going to replace that ever.

I don't think AVS sells SVS subwoofers I just think Mike was giving his opinion. I mean I checked their site at least. I didn't think it was possible to get SVS anywhere else than from SVS themselves and no discounts under the sticker price.
Read that they sell SVS SWs; they sell Klipsch SWs, too.

Discount? Sure couldn't hurt to ask.
