The UGLY speaker pic post? Lets have some laughs!

I want to have some fun guys, I like to laugh and think this will be a good way for all of us to lighten up some during our busy days.

Post pictures of the ugliest speakers you have ever seen or owned. Who cares about sound, its about UGLY.

These are speakers we would never let anyone see us with and if in the garage we would hide them behind tires or something. If found with them in our possession we would say, I have no idea how they got there.

If you remember a brand or model, do a internet search, someone is bound to have some pictures of the speakers you remember. Maybe you come across some really ugly speakers on Ebay, if so, show us Lets laugh a little guys.

My first choice.. These look so ugly they would make a good case for the wife to leave home.

Enjoy,
Mike

Looks like something from my favorite maritan. Sad thing is, I was considering these for my first system (for a short time only).

OMG! When I was growing up, one of my friend's dad had a set of those! Along with a whole cabinet full of the "Studio standard" line.

To bad when his old man wasn't home one day we "took it to 11" and heard a loud "POP!"....there went the tweeters!

I feel so ashamed! I used to sell those Fishers with Fisher rack systems back in the 80's.

Anybody remember the old ugly Kenwood subs. They looked like this but just a box. It had the controls and display in front. Just plain ugly.

Also an ugly full range speaker.

Props on the Lifestyle 48 post!! Priceless!!

Edit: Since I had trouble with people seeing these pics, if anyone sees these on here now, please reply letting me know.

Thanks.

Well, you can take them out of your garage, we know you have a pair and practice taking slapshots at them.

I bet you sold these classics from Kenwood.

Heck you feel bad, I use to own some of those fishers with a rack system in the 80s. Granted I was about 14, but hey I still had them.

He was referring to speakers that would make the Wife move out..... Well, I found ones she would definitly leave if you parked them in "her" living room. Not only because they are Ugly, but because they have that vintage "Klipsh, I will make your eyes bleed with my looks and your ears bleed with my horns"

Imagine them with that bare floor and walls too.... yikes!

No, but I kinda wish I did. I could have made some serious coin selling them to the Deaf and blind.

I don't know? I can see them just fine here. Is anyone else having problems seeing the ugly pictures I posted? (not that you really care)

The absolute worst speakers I have ever seen were by Soundesign (a friend bought them without consulting me, she should have known better.) They were large, as if they were floorstanders, but only contained 4" full-range drivers (that's right, no separate tweeters!) The drivers were hot-glued in, but there were decals to make it look like they had metal frames! (Even screws painted on them!) Also, the backs were pressboard and held in place with staples (not even a nod to airtightness), and the scrawny wires came out of holes in the back so they couldn't be changed.
The experience of listening to these was unforgettable, just like a root canal.
