Big, hope all is well. Still thinking about going scope, just been sidetracked with life. Ruben PMed me, I replied, but we haven't chatted since CEDIA.

Whoa! That is some nice speaker porn you have goin' on there Big. Very nice indeed. They turned out really sharp. If they sound as good as they look, you'll be very pleased.

Have a full September...maybe a weekend in early October. I'm thinking something different (maybe a BBQ)?

Food?.........................Road Trip!

All of this talk about get togethers and food makes me wish I lived closer to all of you "East Coasters"!

Yea,it's a haul for most folks to get out here. It's about an hour 10 from your place and about 1.5 from Michael's, and only 20 minutes from Hey Now's spread.

I'm thinking maybe late lunch or something similar...smoked brisket is something that I can do (but I'll need to get up early...it takes 6-8 hours to do right). Heck, may also be a good opportunity to get the women-folk together as well. More details in the usual place as I can get some decisions made.

Might be worth a trip out here. Within a two hour radius, you have Hey Now, me, Biggy, BillM, BritInVA, Cathan, CurtisG, MMMKAM, and Tupelov, among others (forgive me if I've omitted anyone). Oh, and there's Logan's build (if you can call it that) as well.

There is a LOT of HT Buidling talent out here concentrated in this one area.

We operate just like the Government. We are slow, we like to start before we have a plan. When we lack technical knowledge we either make up a solution or just decide it is not important.

And, you can count on the fact that we will always be back next year asking for more money.

HEY! I should be finishing up the bathroom mud and taping this weekend. Looks pretty good now after third coat. Need to knock down the high spots, give it a light sand and very thin scratch coat and I should be good to go.

I'll pick you up on the way... Wait... I think the wife may have a few "issues"... especially since I have used just about all my vacation time till it renews in the middle of November.

I'll have to start "working" on the wife now. Maybe by next year.

In her purse... where else...

Everything is timing... Just spent a week of vacation and 3 grand on a shed after buying myself a new truck. I just need to keep things quiet for a few weeks... call it "parole"...

I hope my wife didn't see my last post...

Drew,

HAPPY WIFE, HAPPY LIFE.

Here's some other important slash humeorus quotes:

Marriage is a great institution, but I'm not ready for an institution.

Bigamy is having one husband or wife too many. Monogamy is the same.

Never feel remorse for what you have thought about your wife; she has thought much worse things about you.

Strike an average between what a woman thinks of her husband a month before she marries him and what she thinks of him a year afterward, and you will have the truth about him. ~H.L. Mencken

A man in love is incomplete until he has married. Then he's finished.

I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life.

Never go to bed mad. Stay up and fight. ~Phyllis Diller

A man marries to have a home, but also because he doesn't want to be bothered with sex and all that sort of thing.

All marriages are happy. It's the living together afterward that causes all the trouble.

AND TO END ON A POSITIVE NOTE:

What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility.

I hope all your wives and girlfriends love your theaters!!

Scott, you left off my favorite.

The difference between marriage and prison is that in a marriage you don't get any time off for good behavior.

MY wife drove me to drink...'tis the one thing I'm indebted to her for.
OK, time to rein in Biggy's thread.

Jeff - How do the new speakers SOUND? Are you satisfied with them? Do they add something that you thought you were missing?
