The US distributor is http://www.soundorg.com. They should be able to hook you up with a dealer. They post a retail price list on their site, but it hasn't been updated yet.

Hmmm. Well, doing the math, I might be able to this plus the Stand4 for $3K. I can probably swing that in the next year or so. The Focus upgrade wouldn't be for another year or two beyond that.

You can't just take the exchange rate to extrapolate price for the UnitiLite. SoundOrg sets their own retail price, which has to add for shipping products from England and import duty. They distribute the £1925 ND5XS at $3499 MSRP, so that should put the £1650 UnitiLite at around $3K.

I wonder what will happen to the UnitiQute? At $2800 it just doesn't seem to make any sense now.

I know about the Uniti2. That's at a higher price point in the range. Basically we now have...

UnitiQute: $2900
UnitiLite: $3000-3400 ?
Uniti2: $4700
SuperUniti: $6000

If I take the current UK and US prices for the UntiQute and the ND5 XS, the Lite should come in at around $3000-3400. It doesn't seem to make much sense at $3K if they keep the Qute. Maybe it makes more sense if it is priced higher. Won't really know until SoundOrg publishes pricing.

Those Micron speakers on audiogon look suspicious to me. They aren't serialized and look different from another pair that I found. I would say they are someones copy effort. The speakers don't have grill mounts as well. http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/648984261-dynaudio_micron_limited_edition/

Nice E60 you got there. I am guessing from the quad pipes that you have a 550i? I don't see any ///M badges anywhere.
If I could ever afford a BMW and have $$$ left over, I would love an in-car Dynaudio setup similar to yours. Interesting how you converted the wheel-well foot rest area into speakers. But I wonder if that setup is ideal? Seems like they would be too low. I guess there was no way to do a door/dash mount?
Any other mods under the hood?

Thanks for the welcome. he esters have great off-axis response and along with a good dsp with make wonders in the soundstage stage height.. I wanted to put the tweets and midrange on the a-pillars but i didn't like how they look. The Esotars drivers are huge, specially the tweets.

Heres a couple of other Esotars2 systems.

Nice! Great speakers too. I would love the get some Fraim or Frame Lite for my Naim gear. That's the first I've seen them in all black. I would need a base unit plus four standard height shelves.

Here is the Dynaudio page for those speakers.

I had a friend that almost bought a pair but for the same money he just bought a new pair of Excites instead.

The Micron, a great speaker 15 years ago! The Micron was a sealed enclosure about the size of the X12 and was about 83db efficient so you needed a ton of juice behind them! The Micron was about $2800 per pair and had a key hole mount on the back so they could be wall mounted, even though they were almost twelve inches deep.

^^^ I agree with everyone else, of course; beautiful set-up. But isn't it a PITA, with the TT being so low?

I thought the same thing. I could not use a turntable sitting that low on a regular basis. I mount mine on a wall bracket about 3 1/2 feet high. I don't have much choice about using a wall shelf.

Thanks Mick. This wuld not have been possible wiThout you ad well!

It's only an PITA  if you're old and have a bad back. Vinyl sucks! It's all about digital and hi rez play back! tongue.gif

Honestly, I can't even tell you when the last time I played my pottery wheel eerr... turntable and they're just collecting dust. I realized that vinyl playback is just not my niche. Hence I traded in my Clearaudio Concept.

I am old and have a bad back, but my Clearaudio Ovation/Talisman v2 smokes digital, so it is so worth it. tongue.gif
