Anyone else with the same problem?
Don't have the answer (hope someone can help), but I want you to know that the "Indiana Jones" - Crystal Skull (Blu-ray) main feature plays on my BD-P1000. Try clearing the cache again and reset all your settings before playing the disc.
Don't know if Samsung is going to drop the ball as far as the James Bond Volumes 1 & 2 movies.
They act as if they've just heard of the incompatibility issues of these discs for the first time and don't say they're working on a fix anymore.
Here is an excerpt of the discussion I had with them last Friday:
Dylan D: Hello, I am a Samsung Technical Support representative. How may I assist you today?
Paul H: My Samsung BD-P1000 keeps on sending the following message when I try to play the James Bond movie "Thunderball" (Blu-ray) disc.
Quoting the Samsung BD-P1000:"Due to current Analog Restriction Current setup cannot be displayed. To playback, please switch to HDMI output mode."
Other people are reporting that they can use 1080i component when playing this James Bond movie "Thunderball" (Blu-ray) disc and that there is NO Analog Restriction in force by the studio
. Please advise.
Dylan D: I will let you know about it. Let me check it quickly.
Dylan D: Do you see this message with any other Blu Ray disc or with the discs that you had it played it earlier?
Paul H: This was the first disc to generate this message.
Dylan D: Thank you for waiting. I'll be with you in just a moment.
Dylan D: Have you tried to install firmware update on the player?
Paul H: The BD-P1000 has the latest V1.6 that you have available on your Samsung web site.Dylan D: If the firmware update is installed and still unable to play the disc, it appears to be a compatibility issue with this particular disc.
Dylan D: Try to run with a different set of the disc and check it.
Dylan D: If it is happening with multiple discs, it should be an issue with the player
Paul H: I'll have to try the 5 other discs in the two volume set.
Dylan D: Do you have anymore questions for me today?.......................
After the chat I tried all the discs and they all generated the same message.
