I found this vendor online and have not heard of them. I can't find anything negative on them, but they are not listed with the Better Business Bureau. Any comments on this vendor are welcomed. Thanks...

Is this vendor still a forum sponsor? If not, why?

Surely someone has some input about this outfit.....

A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Bill sold me my Pioneer 5060HD. I originally bought a Panny 60u and it arrived broken so I called them up and told them I wanted the Pioneer instead after getting a look at the Panny. They took care of it right away, they also offer technical support on the product for the lifetime of the product.

I WILL greatly buy from them again.

Hmmm. I guess i'm seeing mixed reviews, just like TV Authority is getting. Seems like a crapshoot and that things happen that are out of control for a lot of these online vendors. I'm still seriously considering Beyond Plasma for their excellent price on the upcoming Pioneer 6070. The email exchanges with them thus far have been promising. I spoke with Mike, the owner, and he seems legitimate and sincere with what he has to offer.

I'd still like to hear of more experiences from other AVS Forum members.....

monitoroutlet has quoted the same price;
however, with the 3% wiretransfer instant rebate, it would leave you $150 less than beyondplasma.

Now, am kind of debating on which store should I purchase from, cleveland, beyondplasma, or monitoroutlet. That all up to people here, where they most recommended.

Yet another online retailer I know nothing about. Has anyone ever dealt with them before? I can't find much online other than the feedback on their website which is biased.

They have the sickest plasma prices I have seen. Makes me wonder what I am missing. All the sets say "brand new".

I just received the email from monitoroutlet, they said ETA is 3rd week of July - 1st week of August.

Has anyone bought an LCD or plasma from Buydig or Beach Camera? I am considering going through one of those companies b/c they have the best price I can find but I have never ordered anything from them and want to make sure they are good vendors.

Any feedback is appreciated.

please stop posting vendor names in thread titles.

also, if you have an inquiry about a vendor, this is the thread to do it. All others will be closed and referred to this thread. Experiences may be posted but bashing will cause it to be closed or the offending post to be deleted. If you don't have a purchase experience with the vendor in question, don't post. For the most part, forum sponsors each have a thread for posting experiences, please do not start fresh ones in these cases either.

AVS is for technical issues first and foremost and is not reseller ratings.com etc..

I would use your platinum credit card vs. saving the 150 less with the wire transfer. When you use your platinum, you get an additional year of warranty on top of the manufacturers warranty. All the online vendors have this 3% off for wire transfers. It leaves you with no protection whatsoever. I wouldn't do it.

centraldigital.com

Their prices are excellent and they have a good rating- before I take the plunge (new plasma and pj) I'd like to be sure.

TIA

I've only heard good things about Cleveland Plasma, though you may have to be local to buy some of the Pioneers. Satellite and Sound has a good rating at resellerratings.com based on 9 positive reviews.

Hey guys,

You may have seen my recent thread on Beach Camera. I am trying to compare sellers right now as I am about to order a Samsung LN-S4095D. I saw on the resellerratings website that projectorexpo has a good rating. I would like to verify with fellow board members. Any thoughts and comments on past experiences with projectorexpo would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

They are Panasonic approved, and are here in Atlanta as I am,
Will they let you pick up? Input please?

Thanks

I bought my Panny from them a couple of years ago (delivered to San Francisco area), and their service was excellent. At that time, the delivery service said they were doing a large volume of deliveries in the Bay Area, so they've been around and of significant size for several years now.

I don't know if they'll let you pick one up, but I'm sure you can just call or email them to find out.

I've bought items from Buydig, Beach Camera and 6th Ave. By the way Buydig and Beach are the same company. I haven't had any issues with either one. Buydig and Beach are both members of Better Business Bureau and have a good rating. 6th Ave isn't a BBB member but seems to have a good rep as well. I would buy from any of them again.

Has anyone had any experiences - good or bad with purchases (plasma tv) from PC Richards?

I have found them to be over priced on LCD & Plasma.
Also don't call them for a repair on something out of warranty.
I've heard from a few people that they just want to sell you a new TV.
This best was a friend looked to have an 8 years old Sony projection tv fixed and they told him it wasn't worth fixing but still charged him $350. Well I gave him a number for someone else and thats what they charge him to fix it.
For a tv that wasn't worth fixing it been fine now for well over a year.
Boy did he have some words with them!!!
I would say look at Sams or Costco for some of your best deals.
Good luck.

I believe they are an old time Appliance Dealer in NY/NJ area. PC Richards & Sons I've known people to negotiate in the store to get a good deal but I don't think they'll haggle via the internet - they've been in business 96 years so we're looking at several generations. Cannot vouch personally as I don't live in the area but recall people posting on this forum having bought there.

I feel dirty when I walk out of there! I only go in there to see something no one else has, but I still won't buy anything there.
