Whats your sound system and how much was it - Page 3

Ah! I almost forgot. My first choice to the speakers are the TOTEM FOREST, that i loved so much in previous auditions. They're beautiful and sound like heaven. My only doubts are between NAD Master series system (M55 universal player, M15 processor and M25 power), or ARCAM system (DV29 univ. player, AV8 processor and P7 power), or PRIMARE system (DVD30 univ. player, sp31 processor and A30.5 power). All your experiences or personal opinions would be great to me.

Greetings from the Audio lovers house.

This thread wouldn't be legal on the flat panel forum. What's the double-standard for?

Joining in late on this, but I just bought some stuff and wanted to share..

My setup is -
Pioneer VSX-1015TX 7.1 ($500)

2x Polk Floorstanding M20 ($250 for both) for L/R
Polk CSM Center Channel Speaker ($130)
4x Insignia NS-B211 for 4 rear speakers ($100)
Sony 12" 150-watt Subwoofer ($150)

about $1130 dollars in stereo equipment.... It's not the best stuff in the world, but piece by piece I've been able to upgrade....

Infinity Video 1 Center: $150
SVS PB10-NSD: $375 (New addition)
Samsung 4266W(?) DLP: $999
Toshiba HD-A2 : $399

I know it seems paltry in comparison to most people here, but it gets me by just fine. Can't wait to upgrade properly in the future.

Stereo Speakers:
Gallo Reference 3 $1750 Used + s/h
Martin Logan Aerius $700 Used (Selling these)

Home Theater:
Onix X-MTM $449 + s/h

Pioneer Elite VSX-81TXV $666 shipped new

so maybe a bit over $7050? I dunno, I can't keep track of these things. That's bad.
once i'm able to move the ht stuff into a dedicated space i'll probably get a projector and a bigger sub, moving the sb12+ into the two channel setup.

Wow that is definitely a lot for 2 channels! I would hate to see what your 8.2 channel system would cost! Any ideas what you will upgrade to? Can I have your old equipment? I will trade you my house for it! Just kidding, well not, really.

Need to upgrade sub next: Looking at JL Audio.
Also looking into Power Cables and Power Conditioning.
Maybe two more 110's/stand1's for 7.1. This will be last.

The upgrade has been incredible for stereo enjoyment-Finally.

Nice, but did you know for a mere $300 more you could have had a Wave Radio?

indeed

I am a very price conciensus college student and I typically like to get the best bang for buck. Very happy with what I have and its world's better than an alternative PC computer setup, ie Logitechs/Creative/Klipsch. Its mostly for music and games and when I play competitively, i just use headphones. It works quite well

Right now I have the following:

M&K S-125 L/C/R. I paid I think ~$1500 for them

Marantz SR7001 $999
Sony SCD222ES for $350
Panasonic RP82 DVD $350
Sony PS3 $600
