Best USB analog tv tuner for MCE 2005?

Hello. I am hoping someone can recommend a good tv tuner for me to use with my laptop. It does not have to be ultra small, just produce excellent video quality. I have an NVIDIA DualTV tv tuner on my desktop and I really like the quality I get from analog tv stations so I would like to find something that produces similar quality for my laptop. Since it would be USB, I am hoping it won't reduce the image quality. My laptop is a Dell m1210 so it has USB 2.0. Thank you in advance.

I'll second that. Once I got the drivers installed, I've been very happy with mine. Looks about 90% as good as watching live TV on my Sony 50".

Thank you for the advice. I just noticed it is $205 at Dell right now plus there is a $100 rebate promotion which brings it down to $105. Pretty hot price I think.

For some reason, Ijust get a blank screen from the link. Are you suggesting the AdaptecĀ® Dual TV Tuner for Windows XP MCE 2005?

I've only used the PCI version, but the FusionHDTV5 USB Gold (http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Products/) looks like a good choice to me. Their PCI card works great with clear HDTV stations on Cable and even better with OTA HDTV stations. Snapstream's Beyond TV also supports it for OTA stuff.

I have the HP branded Adaptec 3610 on my mce box and agree that this is a very good dual analog tuner.

Set up is as easy has downloading the drivers, plugging it in then setting up your tuners in mce.

I'm new to MCE and I put together a system with a Dell p4 1.7ghz, 512 MB Ram, nvidia GeForce FX5200 128MB w/s video out and just purchased the Adaptec USB Dual TV Tuner (found a great price on it!).

But my live tv watching is a very jerky... anything with action is impossible to watch (my eyes! my eyes!)...

Watching DVD video works fine... it's just the live tv... can anyone help me???

Please??

Thanks!

I got it figured out!!! After reading about a MILLION posts on several different forums, I figured it had to be a driver/codec issue.

So I removed my old crappy windvd version, downloaded the latest nvidia driver pack for MCE and installed that and the Nvidia PureVideo Decoder.

Now my television is much clearer!! Even the one show I had recorded last night looks good! Now I'm rolling!

So far, I am really liking this Adaptec USB Dual TV Tuner!! And when I get my low profile case, I will not have to worry about the damn thing fitting in the box!

Thanks all!
