Looking for a Space Sim/shooter game like Freespace 2  

I just bought Freelancer from GoGamer.com a couple of weeks back. Amazing. That's one of many games I am "catching up" on.

You may also like X2 and X3.


I am a fan of this forthcoming Darkstar One gaming that's coming out first of August. You may want to keep an eye out for that as well. There's a lot more to it than the demo, even though I thought the demo itself was pretty damned good.

If only Volition was still around to make a Freespace 3. We can dream...

Ever since...Freelancer is a great one. Lots of travel and exploration. I love it. The combat is similar to freespace but a little dumbed down. Only a little. But very fun and effective.

Great graphics to match. I remember the nebula system was introduced with FS2. In freelancer its even better.


Only thing I miss was in freespace the space you were in felt infinite but they were levels that load not seemless like freelancer.
