Denon AVR-3805.

The remote sucks rocks! Not having HDMI switching was a PitA - try adjusting the lip-sync delay with the Sat Box connected to the TV via HDMI and the Denon OSD available only via component. It's been replaced by an Anthem D2 and is headed to the bedroom.

Since no one has mentioned one yet, Yamaha 5990. Incredible sound and picture with HDMI. Gobs of inputs and outputs. Excellent heater for family room.

I currently have a H/K AVR7300. In the past few years I had this, which replaced a defective H/K AVR7200. I had a Pio 1014TX. An Onkyo I think 601 and I had a Sony DA5ES, which I really liked for the dual 5.1 inputs for my seperate DVD-A and SACD players. The AVR7300 is the best sounding of all of them though. Just so warm and effortless.

I have a HK AVR 435. Overall a positive experience. I did have an issue with lockups when using my old soundcard, however since I replaced it...I have not had this issue again(3 months) so that looks to be over with. I would still consider an HK next time however I would like to try out Denon which was my second choice last time.

Currently own the HK 435. Very, very happy with it, especially for the $399 I paid for it! In the past I have owned the following:

Yamaha RXV-795
Denon 3801
Pioneer 812K
Yamaha 5860
Pioneer Elite VSX-59TXi

I've had it for a year now. Incredible receiver, no HDMI however since I only use that for my DVD to HDTV connection, I don't require switching.
