Looking for a 23" LCD for computer room

Hi am looking to buy a 23" LCD tv for my computer desk. I will not be using it as a monitor. I have WoW cable. With these do i need a HD box to get a decent picture since most the local channels are on basic still? If so i may get a 2nd HD box for the computer room.

Any models i should look at?

I looked at the Toshiba 23hlv86 23" and Sony Klv23a10 23" some today.

It's a shame you don't want the flexibility of using your LCD screen as a computer monitor. I just purchased a Samsung 244T 24" widescreen LCD monitor. It has a native resolution of 1920x1200 and works very well as both a PC monitor running Windows XP Media Center and as a TV display using a satellite service box. Since you are using a cable provider, it shouldn't be difficult to connect the box to the LCD monitor. You would need a set of speakers. The Toshiba and Sony models you listed are probably a native resolution of 1366x768. Why limit yourself when LCD monitors are available at TRUE-HD resolutions?

I want to be able to watch TV while on the computer =). I have a 24" widescreen dell monitor coming for my pc. I play a lot of computer games, but want a TV also by it, so i will never just watch TV. If will only be in the computer room if i am on the computer.
