lcd tv with wake-up feature

Hello! I have been searching for a tv with a wake-up feature. We switched to flat panel that doesn't have it. It's really annoying to have to use an alarm, twist my back to turn it on and then wait 8 seconds to see if it's working. I know there are more important things but the old tv's had it - why don't the new ones?

I'd prefer lcd to plasma but am getting desperate since we want to get a new tv that's 37-42" - can you help??

The stores I've called say that some have it but when I went there it really didn't have that feature.

i think all sony tv's have this feature.
its called timer events. set the time, date (m-f ect) and channel. some have 2 timers, use one for weekdays and the other for weekends. also a light should lit up on the tv that will tell you if it set or not this way you know your power didn't go out and then you would have to set the clock and timer events again.

i used this function for years and it is why i have stayed with sony.

so go check out the sonystyle.com page, i suggest the 40xbr1 or the xbr2 and xbr3 if your seating distance is around 6ft

I use a sony 4000 remote with timer functions as an alarm clock to turn on the bedroom TV.

It will work with any TV, tuner, receiver etc. Could even turn on your lights if you want.

I don't have to worry about the TV power going out and loosing its programming.
