Has anyone heard Canton Vento? These were pretty friggin incredible as well and they are cheaper than any of the others. Not the most bass heavy but still a delight. Not bright really at all. Kind of laid backish. The silver high gloss was kind of hot and different.
I must say I am at a loss and will need to go back and listen again. Canton was by accident and a huge surprise and I seem to be thinking about the 809C Ventos and less about the others.. Does anyone in this Forum own Vento?
Yes, I owned the Canton Vento 809Dc's. I guess it really comes down to preference and trade-offs. They were just too lightweight sounding and did not have enough low end for my taste. However, they are a very good sounding set of speakers for the money and overall the sound is very nice and not too forward or overly revealing. They seem to be easy to place and are very easy to drive, which is really nice. I would say that accuracy and the mid and high frequency reproduction in the Vento's is greater that their price would indicate, but the overall soundstage balance and space is diminished due to lack of lower frequency weight.
The build quality and aesthetic appeal is top notch, and the silver drivers definately adds to their allure.
I would love to have been able to experience the Revel F-52's, but there are no dealers close to me. How do they sound compared to the Canton's based on your audition?
