You're in luck. I did close the list for custom intros but one of our members said he would give up his custom allotment if another member wanted in. I'll be sending you a PM with details shortly.

Just saw this post. I have been rendering Reapers blend intro file on my computer and it has been tied up for a day or so. I was unable to get into the forum. I see I may be to late for the sign up, but if someone cannot do this please can you put me on the alternate list. Thanks Joe...

themidpoint: Check your PMs

Everyone else: It seems like people are still intrested. I've decided to open up the list again so that people can join.

The deadline for custom lines will still be Monday at 11:59pm EDT. This will ensure that I can get the quote and everyone will have time to get payments to me.

Depending on how fast I get the payemnts, I will try to move up the read date. Keep an eye on the original post and PMs for more info.

With the continued interest is that going to bring the price down or just add another hour leaving the price the same?

It should bring the price down.

The original quote was based on a pretty long script.

What we have so far is still a few hunder words less than the original script.

I think we should be okay. Plus the account exec was very kool. if we go over the hour I'm sure we can work something out.

Do you have enough numbers listed to cover the 'XXth' or 'XXnd' for the superbowl, academy awards, oscars, world series etc for the next 10 years?

just a quick note, I'll update the list at about 6pm EDT. I am seeing the emails and PMs jus don't have a lot of time to update today.

So here's a status update.

Only about an hour and a half left for submission of custom lines.

I have incorporated all the custom lines that I have received so far. If you don't see your lines in there drop me an email. You have until 11:59pm EDT tonight to get your lines in.

I will be sending the script for a requote in the morning.

This will go one of 2 ways.

1.The price will be perfect and we'll preceed

2.The price will come back too high.

In this case, I will cull down the script without effecting your ability to use the disc.

For example, almost everyone asked for "Welcome to the XYZ theater" We don't really need those since we already have a theater name read and a "welcome to" read. Just put those togehter and wahla! The same goes for the 100 different ways we are telling people to turn off thier cells =)

Like I said, if the price is right then we'll proceed with what we have.

Thanks for doing this. I just sent an E-mail at 8:42pm (Pacific). Hopefully, with 17 minutes to spare!

In case my E-mail didn't make it (and you check here first), my Custom requests are:

"The Booth Bijou"
"Welcome to the Booth Bijou"

Looking at the list, it seems you guys have covered anything else I can think of.

Again, thanks. Please let me know where to send the money once you know what the per-person cost will be.

Hi all.

I recieved the revised quote today and the price went up pretty drasticly. I am currently waiting for a response to request for a requote.

In the meantime i have contacted a couple of other narrators. One of the narrators, Bob, just did a dry run of a couple of lines. If you guys like his read we can use him and the price will be less than $30 shipped.

I am awaiting a couple other quotes also. Check the original post. I'll post as I have more info.

I like the first guy better. The extra $10 doesn't bother me.
The second guy is sneaking in that extra syllable in "Theater" that we didn't like.
Can't wait to hear what the third one sounds like, this is fun!

There's also one other guy I'm waiting for. He did the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean. I'll let you know when I get his price and demo.
Just sent a PM. I'm probably too late for a custom line but would be interested any way.

I liked the 2nd guy between. Just with emphsis on the various syllabs

Thanks Jason! Keep us posted. My money is ready once a decision is made.

BTW, I'd be happy with either of the two guys so far.

I'm good either way.
I'm good either way too... I'd probably vote for the second one if it was held to a vote, but I'm still in if the majority wants the first one.
I'm good either way, but do like narrator #1 better, I'm good with the extra $10.00 whatever the majority wants will be good for me... Joe
post #80 of 274
Yep, same here. I kinda like the first one a little more, but both of them are perfectly fine. I'm also good with the extra 10 bucks. Either one of them would be nice.....

Out of the two listed I still like one the best. Even if it is a bit more.

My sentiments as well.

I think I prefer #1 over #2, but willing to go with the majority.

I thought he original quote was for $30 + 6, anyway, so the price doesn't bother me.

I'm also good either way, though I'd have to give my nod to #1. Extra cost doesn't bother me.

Originally it was assumed that with 11 people the cost would be $30 + 6.

Since we have so many people the price was going to go down quite a bit, but the new quote came back much higher. So the cost only went down $1 per person.

That's why i was looking at different narrators. A $10/person drop in price is pretty significant overall but everyone seems to agree that $25 or $35 doesn't matter.

I guesss I'm just cheap.

Price aside, I atually liked #2 better. The #1 clip has music in the background which makes it sound a bit better, but I tried to imagine what it would sound like without the music and my preference is #2.
Agreed. The music may be swaying some votes.

Speaking of which, anyone have a source for some background music for our intros? I really like the various music used for these intros...

but we need them without the techntalker voice over.

I think that 2nd announcer is excellent

i also think maybe the first company is using switch and bait tactics?

give you one price then up the fee's? (ONLY MY OPINION)

The account exec is actually being very helpful. She said it was her own fault because she didn't realize how many pages there were when she quoted the first script.

She is discussing the situation with the narrator and seeing if he will do the job for the original price.

She also offered some other narrators but none were as good as what we already have.

I'm going to post the 3 narrator in the op in a few min.

Discussion is now closed. =) I did a bit of negotiating and the final price for the original narrator is $27 each.

I'm going to pay upfront and see if I can move the read to This friday.

Check your PMs for info.
