DIY Sub built into a wall.

Thread Starter
Im getting great help on building a DIY sub, I decided to go with a sonotub Design (Thanks Steve C, Wild and Steve nn!!!).

but, I was standing in my new house that isnt even finished yet thinking why not build a sub right into the wall :D The HT room is just a frame right now period and it wont be finished until I move into the new house.

Frame out the wall like a stage and place the 2 sub drivers at the foot of the stage with ports out the sides (separate enclosuers and ports). My center Channel sits on top and my Mains will stand besind with my 96'' Screen mounted against the wall. It may look much more professional and WAF is a clear winner ;) I showed my wife those sonosub pictures (with the woman standing beside it) and she said.....nevermind, like we care :D

I dont want to stop my other thread just want to talk about different options.

You could install an Infinite Baffle like one of these http://home.comcast.net/~infinitelyb...B-Gallery.html

Someone here on AVS actually built something similar to that. He built a stage into the front of his HT but the stage itself was really two sub enclosures (two 18" sealed subs). It looked pretty cool.
