DrPainMD,

How do you like that Advent sub? I am looking for a very inexpensive sub to mate up with a new set of 7.1 Advent Heritage speakers I just got.

Thanks.

Reason I ask is that the sub is being sold on eBay for very cheap. Even so it doesn't sound worth it though.

Dr. Pain, if your thinking about getting the htr 5960 receiver dont. I have buyers remorse because i feel the htr 5890 would've been a much better match and i sometimes feel like the monitor 9's are begging for more power even though they sound great with the 5960. Hell, its only about $100 more online if that and has thx certified power. Not that the 5960 receiver is a bad receiver i just think for the litte extra $ you get a LOT more receiver and a better match for the paradigms.

I don't recall being interested in buying the 5960.

If you plan on still getting a paradigm set up, check this amp out. It doesnt look like much on paper but if u look up the dynamic power in the owners manual it shows that this is one of the best receivers available for about $400.

If I get a Yamaha, I'd at least get the 1700 or a Denon 2307CI or a Pio Elite. Still working on the Paradigm setup. One speaker at a time.

...and down the road a Rotel 1075 for the "power" or something from Anthem.
Yeah rotel defineately nice stuff! I was also checking out emotiva amps, for $499 they have an amp thats 125W x 6 (also 7 chnnl config available) all channels driven. the lpa-1 is a beast for the price and u can get matching preamp processor combo for $899. Great deal. Did u get the 9's yet?

Theatre looks awesome bet the centre sounds great!..the cables would look better run in some black conduit. Or painted black at least so they don't stand out from the wall so much.

no need to be sarcastic, I was trying to be lighthearted....
