I respect your views and I often find you to be a voice of reason. However, it's not just the Panasonic owners who talk about their ability to display details in blacks and grays - it's in every review I've ever read of Panasonic plasmas.
The SXRD is a great tv with its own strengths and weaknesses. We are talking about plasmas here. Name one plasma tv that has better details in blacks and grays. Some might say Fujitsui may have better details, but IMHO it still does not have the black level of the Panasonic and costs thousands more.
