DLP video delay bad for games?

Thread Starter
In some of the reviews I have read (like newegg.com) some vague comments about a video time delay that makes some projectors bad for real time gaming. Specifically I have read this in reference to the Toshiba 62HM195, and thats about the only point that is holding me off buying one. Anybody know more about this delay thing?

One thing I noticed was that the complainer wasn't using a digital HDMI/DVI type connection, rather an analog, could that have been the issue?

I think it depends on the projector. I have a mitsu rear projection dlp set and I don't notice any lag. I have heard that some samsung dlp sets do have lag on certain inputs, so I would advise some research on the dlp forum and ask about specific projectors. Or perhaps ask the folks here what projectors they are using.

There's a great thread in the General Gaming forum regarding this topic.

HDTVs and Video Game Lag: The Problem and the Solution.
