I really would hate to have to send it back but my gut feeling tells me I need to.
Wow ... and oops! Was this something that was always there or is it new? If it was there from before, did you mention it in your order? I have a similar issue (see below) ...
I got a call on my voicemail last evening from Heartland. They say that the PJ is done and that it will be shipped out (I'll call for tracking info today).
Apparently they concur with my assessment of mis-convergence (+ I had a red tinting on the left half of the screen) and the voice message said that they replaced the optical block.
I had also mentioned in the order that when I put up green and red fields, there were dark "smudges" on both (at different locations), but that the blue field was clear. I sent a detailed drawing of the locations of the smudges etc. with my order. I suppose that this is a dust blob issue that would get resolved automatically with the new optical block? How does that work?
I had been hearing some noises (which I thought were bearing-like) from the fan from up close, but it was intermittent and they couldn't find anything wrong (but at least they tried!). I suppose that this could be the dynamic iris? In any event, I figure that if the fan were to go after the warranty period, it would be relatively simple to replace, so I am not worried.
I'm looking forward to the PJ when it comes back ... hopefully with no new gremlins!
