Totally agree! I can watch professionals dance if I wish. This show is about watching people who have at least some degree of celebrity success struggle to improve in a completely new arena.
I really enjoyed the show also because this season, unlike the last two, I find everyone at least somewhat likable and interesting. Even though I must be getting old and out of touch because I only recognized 4 of the stars! (Hines Ward, Chris Jericho, Kirstie Alley, and Ralph Macchio)
Some observations:
1 or 2 of Petra's points were charity. Not a big deal since it doesn't count for much at this point. Also, I was surprised after hearing on this forum about her high hotness quotient how little she interested me in that regard. In terms of attractiveness I rank her just above Wendy and Kirstie, and below the other stars and pros. She seems to be a sweet and caring woman, however, and I hope her dancing improves.
Ralph completely surprised me! 27 years later and he still acts like the shy innocent kid, but he put on a good show on the dance floor. I was cringing, expecting a crane kick at any moment, but thankfully they saved that for another dance - oh yes, it's coming, trust me.

Kirstie also shocked me! I almost turned it off and went to bed because I assumed her dance would be horrible. How she could manage that footwork, I don't know, but it was impressive. I think she will struggle with other dances which emphasize more of the upper body, but I can't wait to see her quickstep. Oh, and she still looks like she swallowed the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man.
Best Dress - Cheryl Burke. (Admittedly I am HIGHLY biased in her regard, however, I still think I'm right.)
Making Old Men Feel Dirty Award - Chelsea Kane. What a bubbly little cutie!
The "Who?" Prize - "Radio Guy", which is apparently his official title since the host kept referring to him as such. I guess I'm not the only one who doesn't know his name.
Hines Ward I predict will be the best football player to participate in the show thus far. I know that Jerry Rice came in third, but I had to stop watching him because he just never could dance well and only the fans kept him in. I think Hines has the potential to win it all.
