Glad Kym has a good partner. She's delicious.

My wife hates her too. I think they hired her from SYTYCD for the youth factor but I wonder if it that is working. I just dont think she brings the charisma that Julianne or even Chelsey brings. Although Chelsey needs to work on it.

The new crop of demo dancers makes me think that the existing crop may be threatening and they are telling them they are replaceable.

Interesting. I held this same opinion (that Lacy keeps getting bad partners) but when I actually went back and looked at the pairings on

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...29_competitors

it turns out that almost all her partners have made it past mid-season:

Lance Bass (3rd place)
Steve O (8th place, but Lacy said Steve o was worse than Mike on Kimmel)
Mark Dascascos (6th)
Kyle Massey (2nd)
Mike Catherwood (last)

I wonder where the perception that she gets bad partners comes from?

I think it is Steve O that I keep going back too... And I would guess Kyle was pretty much a surprise as far as his showing. Probably wasn't expected? I dunno.

Also, my wife thinks she looks trashy so she has that going for her.

I think Lacey's been caught in between hair colors. She was an absolute blonde last season with Kyle. Now she looks more like a 'dirty' blonde.

Any word on whether Edyta will be back for Season 13? I miss her.

Retired (permanently) according to her.

Edyta announced that she was done after season 10. She had been there for every season since the show's debut. She wants to concentrate on starting a family with husband Alex Mazo (season 1 champ along with Kelly Monaco) and do other things as well.

Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show.

Does Wendy Williams finally go for broke and show some of that sassy side she claims to have?
LeeAnn Tweeden wants to dance on this show in a future season. ABC should definitely bring her on as a contestant. She's not only ridiculously gorgeous, but has appeal for various groups: sports fans (she was a sports reporter), military families (she's been a USO stalwart), and others.

Again, terrible, terrible audio issues this week. Sounds like they're talking from the bottom of a barrel.

I noticed this way back in the mid-80s when stereo TV was still new and broadcasters didn't know how to use it.

Dancing With the Stars audio engineers - RTFM!! Actually I think they did, 7 minutes into the show, the audio improved to normal.

I must confess I'm not the greatest fan of this show, my fiance is, so I get to watch it along with various real estate and home decorating shows. However this is the first time I've seen it in HD and I must admit it does look stunning!
I think your audio problem must have been just local, fine in my market(only listened in stereo) although I have heard the tin can effect before just not this week. AFA picture quality, I'd rate DWTS as good HD but not what I'd call great. IMO it's a bit grainy and I see macroblocking where I don't think I should if they used the full bandwidth for HD I do like the eye candy though

Ouch! Maks and Kirstie took a tumble near the beginning of their routine (Maks' thigh buckled), but did a nice recovery to land a 21 for their routine.

Guess this show makes enough money for them to hire Michael Buffer to do his iconic opening for Sugar Ray and Anna's routine.

Petra and Dimitri recovered from their jive with a waltz that put her at the top (well, at least tied) with a 25.

Wow, Kristie almost killed Maks. I'll go ahead and say it, his thigh isn't buckling if he's pulling Petra or Chelsea across the floor. Wendy William... maybe, but not Kendra.

So is that Macchio's real hair? It looks like a piece but it keeps growing each week.

I think Chris Jericho might make it to the final 3. Just a hunch. He seems to get it, plus Cheryl works magic.

This has been going on for years. Especially with the ballroom/hosts microphones.

That was a sad moment. And she should stop wearing that color "elephant" grey. I think she wore that last week too.

It would have made for a good Paso Doble. Maks looked like he was straddling a raging bull. Funny thing, she has graceful moves and can dance.

I didn't have my AVR on last but when it is on, I've always found DWTS' audio to be to top heavy on the Bass. In regard to the HD video quality, I've wondered about the lighting in the ballroom studio and how the various HD cameras are impacted by it. Last night, for instance, normal camera shots of Tom alone on the floor seemed somewhat flat and a bit hazy while the images of the dancers had more contrast and overall pop to them as did those in the backstage green room area. Just curious as to what may be the cause of this.

It's looks to me like they've started to use skin-tone filters on the hosts because I'm not seeing any shadow detail in the Tom or Brooke's faces.

It was strange. It didn't look like he was actually trying to support her at the time his thigh gave out.

As for Ralph's hair. If you're going to pay for a piece, you'd get a better looking one than that. it's got to be real.

You could be right Mac. That would account for the "flat" look in certain camera shots and the reddish cast on Tom's face. I've noticed that when Tom and Brooke are on the front portion of the stage, there is more contrast. It's when Tom is at the mid to rear part of the stage that the image loses some of its vibrance.

The result was certainly no surpise. Wendy was clearly the one to go. The parity among the contestants this season is refreshing. There are some potentially good dancers but no clear standouts. I really enjoy watching Hines Ward. He seems to be enjoying the hell out of what he's doing out there. Of course, with the amazing looking Kym on your arm, that's understandable

I'm late with the results of the results show. Sorry, I was out and about last night, came home, watched it and then went to bed.

As expected, Wendy Williams was told to turn in her dance shoes. She and partner Tony Dovolani, along with Chris (Irvine) Jericho and Cheryl Burke, were the last two couples standing, but Tom B. didn't wait too long during the dramatic music to make the announce that Wendy and Tony were done. I guess it was clear that Chris & Cheryl were not in the bottom two and Tom didn't want to (or was told not to) drag things out.

Classical music next week? Bach, Brahms and Beethoven make their debuts? Should be interesting.

Yeah, I remember seeing another show (wish I could remember what it was) several months ago where Max was discussing a significant leg injury he experienced as a teen.

As the story goes, he wasn't expected to dance again--at least not competitively--and his doctors were amazed at the recovery he DID make.

While I'm sure Kirstie's an easy target, my first reaction when I saw them stumble was to wonder if it had anything to do with his earlier injury.
At first, I thought the fall was staged, since they talked so much about the dance being about overcoming adversity.

But looking at the slo-mo's it lookes like Max missed the position by a little bit and tried to muscle through it, but he was way too far back to save it.

I guess I'm the only heartless sob who blames this tumble on Kristie's weight.

Oh well, so be it. For the record, she was my first crush growing up watching Cheers... well her and Alyssa Milano (who would make a great addition to an upcoming season, right?)
Does anyone else think Brooke is as dumb as a stump? My fiance and I think so every time she opens her mouth. She asks the most obvious questions.

Tom is the absolute opposite - he's always on his toes and always comes out with something funny and original - he's a natural and he makes it look easy. Brooke makes it look very, very hard.

She seems to think that fake boobs will get her by. I suppose a lot of people think that these days.

Too bad she can't get voted off!

I must be on your ignore list I'm right there with you. I saw the accident. I took down the plate of that truck that Maks crashed into.

I still like her chances.

And i agree, Alyssa would be a good addition.

She asked more than the usual dumb questions this week and she seemed nervous. At one point, I thought she was going to be the next victim of that secret ray that causes on air persons to babble. Regardless, she's a rocket scientist compared to the previous chick (name?).

^^ Samantha was much worse at ad libbing on the fly. At least this year Brooke isn't using this crutch... "When I was in your position..." or "When Derick was my partner..."

And I stand corrected, I'm not the only one and I'm sure highway patrol is glad you got the plate.

Was a good show tonight. The classical music actually fit well for the dances, well most of them anyway.

Kirstie had more malfunctions again - hip problem during rehearsal, then partially lost her shoe during her waltz.
We're in that strange part of the season. The show needs to stretch it to 2 hours but they don't quite have enough people left for it to flow. So we end up watching some dude play a lot of fiddle.

Anyway, solid night. I'm hoping Kendra's going home. Her whining overmatches her looks.
