I know you know that it's David & Kym, so I'm wondering what you were thinking about when you typed Ron instead?

Were you having a flashback to last week when Ron got cut?

I fixed it in the original posting.

Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show.

Wow, this was on page 3 (according to my settings). I guess there was not much to talk about this past week.

With regard to the show, there was some talk about Lacey having weight issues and her past battle with anorexia. Other than that, I didn't catch anything else.

I think Lacey is the worse "professional" dancer on the show. Whenever the pros dance together, you can clearly see she doesn't extend like the others or move like the others, she is way outclassed.

I'll be happy to see Julianne again, if only for a few dances, she was my favorite professional followed by Etyta who has also left

After 4 years I'm calling it quits .. I find myself more interested in watching the female pros and the judges commentary .. the "Stars" have just become way too much of a freak show for me ..

Oy, it's over on the west coast and oh boy, shock city time.

Chaz & Lacey (last in judge's scores) were in the first results group and found out they were... SAFE! Nancy Grace (next to last) is also SAFE.

Well, to balance it out, Ricki & Derek and J.R. & Karina (two of the top scorers from Monday) were also SAFE.

Weird beginning to Macy's Stars of Dance with Estelle's performance of "The Twist" (and I thought Oh no, what are you going to do with this classic?) but all of sudden out comes special surprise guest Chubby Checker and all's right with the world. Len got to boogie for a little bit (thought he would do more).

The last two standing were Chrissy & Mark and Hope & Maks (two very good scorers from Monday) and surprise - Chrissy & Mark are gone (they were tied for second in judge's scores).

I think the "vote for the worst" yahoos are out in force again, saving Chaz and Nancy to the shock of everyone. It's the Sabrina Bryan scenario all over again.

Well, DWTS wanted more intrigue and now they got it, for better or worse.
Even before Chrissy & Mark were put in the bottom 3 I said if they were one of the 3 they would be OUT! When they were in the B3 I was 95% sure it would be Chrissy. DWTS has a long tradition of cutting decent dancers who are too pretty for their own good, too early I hope this doesn't sound odd but IMO it's because the majority of the voting public(who I'm guessing are middle aged housewives) feel threatened by another woman who looks so good. If they are truly great, like Brooke Burke or other top finishing women were, their talent will carry them past their looks, otherwise they face a early elimination
This show is what it is, still nice to see the pros and I feel more sorry for Mark, IMO he's probably the best if not second best male pro and it was way to early for him to go with what he was given.
Next Chaz or maybe David and Kym....

I smelled some tuna when they announced that Cher would be in the audience next week. I can't see ABC missing out on this possible ratings bump. I also for the life of me, can't imagine what audience segment would become Chaz followers. I wouldn't think there would be that big of a gender confused or even sympathetic voting block out there. As nice as they are trying to portray him, I find him whiney and lacking personality...where are his supporters coming from?

I think a lot of the voting can be explained simply by My most memorable year... graduating High School. Compared to the other stories she was guaranteed to disappear from the audience memories.

Nice looking female gets kicked off show... we're left discussing shim.

Good job ABC/DwtS! Part of your master plan to get rid of me!
We watched pretty much every season since this has started and this year they are just sitting on the DVR.

Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show.

Mama Cher will be in the audience as son Chaz tries once again to prove he's not that incompetent. Don't worry, he'll be saved on Tuesday night as some more worthy dancer will get sent home (and to Jimmy Kimmel Live) on Tuesday.

Don't forget! Julianne Hough makes her return to the ballroom on Tuesday for some singing and dancing!

Chaz is overdue to get the boot...his/her dancing is horrible and the gender novelty is wearing off...

I see the Marine winning this thing as he has the most talent dancing wise...
Actually, I think he was Army not Marines, but yeah, he looks to be the one to beat.

They already kicked off one Kristen, who I thought might have a chance to challenge him if all the stars aligned perfectly and she made a breakthrough to the next level.

But he seems to be the only one that's good at both latin and standard at this point. All the others seem to be standard specialists, so it'll be tough beating him in the finals which favors the flashy latin and freestyle dances.

I think the quality of dance went down yesterday. What the orchestra was playing for the 'movie music' didn't jive always with the recordings they practiced to (tempo was different).

I don't know, but either Chynna or Carson are my choices for getting eliminated tonight.

I tried watching the second episode - just couldn't get into it. The Marine's story is compelling, but I have a feeling that is going to be milked until it becomes nauseating. None of the other celebrities really spark any interest for me, and like mgkdragn, it's hard to justify the time investment just to drool over the female pros and laugh at the judges' commentary.

I don't have a DVR and wouldn't be recording it if I did, sadly, since I have thoroughly enjoyed most of my watching of DWTS. Somewhere The Fonz is putting on his water skis - or is he taking them off?

Me 4

I'm so done with this show. If I walk in the room and it's on I freak out like Frankenstein confronting fire.

My wife and I have enjoyed it from the very beginning but it grates on me now. We still DVR it but even she zips through or deletes them without watching.

And what's up with Brooke? The little I see or hear, when she conducts the post dance interviews, she sounds like her brain got sucked out of her head.

By the way, the Army guy is a lock and Hope Solo will finish 2nd.

Show over on the west coast and...

I was right. Chynna's freeze up was her undoing and she is gone.

Fun watching Julianne do, in essence, 3 dances. She and Derek have won 5 mirror-ball trophys between them. Add Mark Ballas to the mix (Derek's surrogate dad) and that family has won 7 (out of 12 total so far) DWTS championships!

Oh gods, next week is 80s week, spandex galore out there.

I heard Derek dislocated his shoulder in rehearsal and popped it back in and he was still sharper than Julianne during the performance. What a beast!
It must have required an entire crew of stagehands to get Julianne into those jeans during that quick change.
And to think - those people get paid for that.

Dad? Unless I'm mistaken Mark is younger than Derek. Brothers perhaps...

I'm sorry but there is something wrong if you can even see Derek if Julianne is dancing at the same time.

I know that Derek was a member of the Ballas family. I most likely meant Corky in the 'dad' role.

Although she looked pretty good doing the contemporary part, unfortunately, I have to agree that she looked a little slow and not very sharp or precise in the cowboy piece. Not sure if she was just under-rehearsed or rusty.
