The judges could have gotten very nitpicky and dinged her another point for being a little bit too loose limbed and for her arms being all over the place. But the Disney Kids have a history of having trouble with the audience vote and I expect the judges wanted to make certain they didn't loose such a good dancer before she has a chance to gain a following.
Good point. They've all been pretty good and hung around through most of it, but she's definitely got talent and will probably improve. Alexandra might also develop like Shawn over the next few weeks. Right now it's Z, KP, JJ and Aly. I don't anyone else has a chance.

Outside of the dancing, Icona Pop sounded really good. I don't think they were singing, but that song has a great beat and it looked and sounded great.

We re-watched Kelly Pickler dancing three times. Mostly for my wife saying she looked almost like a professional and was really cool looking, me for other reasons:D.

Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show.

Victor and Lisa had better step up their game or they'll go home tomorrow. Don't think we'll have a repeat of last week's withdrawl situation.

Wowzers!

Double Wowzers biggrin.gif
I can't believe I'm the only one who is reminded of Shania(as in Twain) when seeing SHARNA.....
^^^ I saw a bit of Shania in Sharna last night, but only because of those stretch pants.
I hope you Sharna Burgess fans are tweeting your feelings with hashtags like #DWTS and whatever else is appropriate (@+Burgess's own Twitter handle, I guess? never have used Twitter, don't know how those things work), because that seems to be the way to get DWTS's producers’ attention and to let them know how popular she is.

Bottom two scorers were DL (16) and Wynonna (15). From the looks of things at dialidol.com, I think it's over for one of them tonight (barring another injury withdrawal, which will most likely NOT happen).
Yeah the judges were really gunning for those two last night. They made certain that their was a good separation between their scores and everyone else.
I just hope it doesn't backfire and people feel compelled to vote for them mad.gif I wouldn't be sad if I didn't have to see them dance again......other than at the end.
AFA the scoring last night, I think they(Keri Ann and Bruno) scored Kelly Pickler too low(8s) and because they were so early they couldn't really score anyone else much higher. This resulted in most everyone being bunched up with 7s or 8s with some people getting 8s that were nowhere as good as Kelly P.....
It will be interesting tonight, sounds like a packed 1hr program.

Results show over on the west coast.

Yeah, I was right, Wynonna put in a brave effort but can't do the dances so she & Tony got eliminated. And the Vote for the Worst effort keeps DL Hughley safe for next week.

If you didn't vote on Twitter for this, Zendaya and Jacoby were voted Queen and King, respectively, of the 'prom night', each got 2 additional judges points, and were both declared safe for next week.
Glad that Wynonna's gone...she made Master P look like Fred Astaire. biggrin.gif I heard that Zendaya gave her prom queen sash to Wynonna at the end of the show; that was a class act.
Zedaya getting voted Prom Queen would seem to be a good sign that she has enough fan support to win this season.

But, she was sitting next to Prom King Jacoby and the NFL voting block has traditionally been one of the most dominant voting blocks. I'm starting to change my mind to Jacoby being the favorite to win.

And I was glad to see Lisa squeak through since I felt she made a mini breakthrough this week. She'll never be competitive, but I felt she deserved to be rewarded for making progress.
While Zendaya will be there in the end, I think she stumbles. The female competition is in flux and it will be Aly, Kellie and Z fighting for 2 spots in the finals vs. Jacoby. I'm predicting his popularity and dancing ability will improve and he'll be very tough to beat.

I just want to say that I'm a little PO'ed at Jimmy Kimmel. On Tuesday night's show, he made only a mere mention of Wynonna Judd's elimination from DWTS (with requisite video clip). Neither she nor her pro partner Tony Dovolani were on the show for a chat nor the traditional ceremony of the 'burning (now shredding) of the Capezios' that were a staple of Jimmy's show during previous seasons.

I can understand not having Dorothy Hamill and Tristan McManus on last week after her forced withdrawal due to her spine injury situation, but a regular elimination and a throw away mention of the event? Grr. mad.gifmad.gifmad.gif

I think the move to 11:35 has finally gone to his head. If this is going to be a regular occurrence from now on, I'm going to drop Jimmy's show from my recording habit (heck, I only record it on Mondays and Tuesdays after DWTS has aired anyway rolleyes.gif).

I count myself lucky every time I miss an opportunity to encounter Wynonna Judd.

Yeah that's not where I started out at, but that's the same scenario I've moved to. I didn't think Jacoby was a real threat at the start of the season, but he seems to keep getting better and obviously has a big voting block.

Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show. 10 couples left. Will DL Hughley finally get the boot?
The way the voting is trending, it seems like Lisa will be next to go regardless of what DL does.

Quick summary. DL improved. Andy improved. Victor did a little worse. Lisa (despite the flu) did dance.

Still Aly, Jacoby, Kellie and Zendaya the front runners so far.

You had nothing to say about Sean or Ingo?

Sorry, it was late and I didn't remember every detail.
Not seeking any apologies, Dinger.  Your summary covered more than anyone else (including me) posted.  As to its being late, well, you posted twenty-two minutes after the show had ended in your timezone at 10:01 PM PDT.  At the corresponding time for me I was still busy trying to phone in my votes, so I'd say you got it posted early rather than late.

Only thing I might say you left out was the specific detail that Aly and Mark led the board last night.

Damn, Zendaya has amazingly fast feet. Plus she's extremely good at doing speed changes. if Val makes use of those skills, she should be able to do an amazing tango. But, I'd still like to she her clean up her lines. Her positions aren't as clear as they should be, especially considering how long and lean her limbs are.

I think I'm turning more and more into Len every season and getting more annoyed by the deviations from style. For example, I didn't see any "slow, slow, quick, quick" in Jacoby's foxtrot and they were only in hold for about four steps. And I can't figure out what happened to Pickler's Rumba. Pickler is so limber through the back and shoulders and hips, that she should be exceptionally good at doing those rhumba motions that start at the floor and wind all the way up the body to the shoulders. And Derek is usually really good at bringing out that motion in his partners. But it was all poses and no sinuous movement last night.

Show over on the west coast (has been for about an hour)...

The high scoring couples were saved early, no surprises there.

Funny stuff with Bruno and how he hears voices (supposedly from staff) on what to say during his judging. Actually, as Tom said, he isn't hearing other voices, just his own in his head. biggrin.gif

Nice duet with Andrea Bocelli and Jennifer Lopez (still think Placido Domingo and Katherine Jenkins was better). Ana Trebunskya sighting!! Dancing with Val.

Bottom two were Victor&Lindsay and Lisa&Gleb (matching the judges scoring).

And out goes - Lisa&Gleb. Give her credit for performing during a bad bout of sickness but lack of rehearsal work showed in her dance.

Hi, it's me again. Weekly BUMP for tonight's performance show.

Note: the return of some of the old DWTS pros. Maks will be back. Will he give Tom his patented butt tweak? tongue.gif

(Sheesh, it's been awfully quiet in this thread this week)

Those if you on the east coast let us know if the show is airing tonight. Given the events in Boston today, it might get preempted by news broadcasts and out of respect for the casualties.
Yes. It is showing.

Thanks. It will be a diversion from the day's horrific events.

I wonder how much rehearsal time each pair got with its pro couple, considering that some of the pros danced with two contestants and that Anna Trebunskaya and Emma Slater each danced with three.
