right, i've seen the nets re air shows later in the week (jericho was shown on wed. and again on saturday), but i don't recall the second airing being on the very next night during the work week in primetime. i'm sure it's been done before, but it's still odd. my conclusion is that either nbc has a really weak fall lineup or they're scared monday night football is going to cut into their core demographic for heroes. if it's the latter, it makes me wonder why they'd slot it for monday nights to begin with...

Well, a couple more examples, tonights Runaway on CW will air again in the same timeslot tomorrow night, and next weeks NBC pilot Friday Night Lights will air on Tuesday and Wednesday. Various networks are doing similar stunt scheduling which isn't unusual this time of year. They are just giving people more chances to catch the new shows as well as fill in the holes until later debuting shows come along.

It's a particular concern with all of these serials. If most people miss the first episode, they'll never tune in.

I fully agree. Nearly every new series is getting the pilot ran more than once.

Also, I am a bit upset that I now know there will be a twist.

I'm going to watch it.

Maybe not today, but someday this week. My Mondays are full, I have scheduled to recording The Class, Prison Break, How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, Weeds and Studio 60. I still haven't watch the pilot for Studio 60 so I'm not sure if I'll keep that show.

I saw the pilot last week on yahoo.com. Looks like my kind of show!

Was anyone else missing the vocal track at the beginning of the program?

There was sound coming from the center channel but no voices... only after a few minutes in did the voices finally come throught.

At least for me, it was on the HD broadcast both Cable (Insight) and OTA (WFIE, Evansville, IN)...

It's weird.. the HD channel is out of sync with the SD version of the channel by about 10 minutes with just the surround channels, and absolutely no vocals/center channel in the HD channel. The SD channel has already gone to commecial break while the HD channel is still with the Indian guy in his dad's apartment.

Weird !! Way to ruin the premier of the most expected premiere of this season.

Oh, I am with Adelphia Cable in Boynton Beach, FL.

For a minute there at the beginning, it did look like it was gonna take off into an Indiana Jones-type movie. Decent, it was; PQ wasn't that good, though. And it's kinda hard to tell where it's going to wind up. Will they band together and become prime-time X-men?

My wife fell of the sofa laughing when I admitted that I had actually read X-men 143.

I agree it'll be interesting to see where they take it. Saw the pilot tonight (unfortunately SD; out of town on bus in a hotel). Looks promising to me, though.

Best line: "Super Hiro"

The show indeed has promise.

I just got my Sony Pearl a couple days ago. I thought the picture quality was excellent, well except for a the bright yellow stripe (about 10 pixels wide) running down the left edge. (Guess I need to figure out how to use its 'blanking' feature).

The story has potential, but they need to pick up the pace. Sometimes with shows like this, I think they should write the whole first season, but start the actual filming with the second season.

Excellent show. Surprises me that NBC has it. Seems more like a FOX show. I really enjoyed it and the HD OTA looked pretty good here in Nashville area on WSMV.

I thought it was a nice premiere, my wife and I were switching back and forth when Monday Night Football went to commercial and actually kept it here a few times. I will give it a few episodes before I make up my mind, I just wish it wasn't on against MNF.

Nice that the writers have a sense of humor, right down to the anime like subtitles over the hillarious exchange between the two Japanese buddies.

Good stuff.

Could be the cable company's fault. I didn't have a problem with it at all OTA. Awesome first episode. This was like a GOOD version of 6 degrees.

San Diego is having some major issues, everything is in pink and green
post #50 of 4855
At first sight, this show is a total rip-off of all the great shows that are currently on the air...they clearly took the global cast characteristic of "Lost" (not a bunch of white people) and while the show isn't really like Lost, there are some other major similarities that just can't go un-noticed. They also basically stole the plot from The 4400...I mean its almost down right theft.

With ALL THAT SAID, I still found the show incredibly entertaining....it has a very decent, mixed cast which seem to mesh together well. The writing is decent, nothing great like BSG or Studio 60, but it seemed to work. I think the thing that draws me most to the show though, is that I am interested in the characters...unlike Jericho where I couldn't care less. At the end of the premiere, I was left wondering, "who are these people? And how are they going to come to terms with these new powers and abilities?" I also question where this show is going...will it be a straight-up comic book type X-Men show, or more like the 4400.

I'll be around for another few episodes to see where it goes....its my type of show, but I honestly don't know if I can take another 4400

I thought it was just me or my DVR. I didn't start watching it until 9:30, and I had to skip forward about 10 minutes before the picture was fixed. It was unwatchable when it was all pink and green. Then it was boxed in on all four sides for another few minutes.

Fortunately I already saw the episode on Yahoo. Hopefully the pink/green will not come back.

i think the dialogue sucked. too corny & contrived. i hope it improves as the season progresses. the concept of the show is enough to keep me coming back for at least a few more episodes. nice twist at the end with the brothers. the twist w/ the father was totally predictable.

I am curious who else caught tonight's premiere episode. I found it giving just enough that I will tune into the next couple weeks. However, I felt the trailer for the coming weeks gave away way to much; so hopefully it was just a red herring on the true direction of the show.

Ali Larter's character quite frankly scares me.

The flying part was so "Smallville", you always wonder, but never see it.

We shall see.

Always been an Ali Larter fan. Hope this works for her.

I thought the premier KICKED ASS. Great PQ/SQ and what a great soundtrack. I can't remember the last time something on network T.V. gave me goosebumps (actually some of the best "Lost" episodes have ).

One episode and I am hooked for the season.

Lol, too funny, I've still got mine in the garage somewhere

It has potential. Looked great on WBAL on Comcast.
I caught this on NBC.com a couple of weeks ago. It had a good premise. I'm going to give it a chance. It sort of had same premise as the revamped X-Men from 1976.
i wasnt too thrilled about it... maybe its because I'm from India and that classroom looked nothing like a real indian classroom. Seemed contrived and the coincidences were so Lost-esque it was nauseating. But besides that, i'll watch it till something better comes along. Not a hit for me though
