It's not important, but does anyone know why they disable the front composite input for? I believe it used to work on a older box I had since I think I hit the source button on the remote once or twice and switched to it by mistake. But when I tried to hook an Atari Flashback 2 up to this one a few months ago, I discovered that Time Warner doesn't allow the front composite input to be used.
At least the USB port powers stuff. I use it for charging since I shut my PC down when not in use but pretty much keep the cable box always on since it does a far worse job than it already does with the DVR actually capturing what it's supposed to be recording when it's powered down.

I also love ME TV. No stations should be lost, unless there is a retransmission consent issue in your market.
I got the brochure but couldn't locate Me-TV on it which is presently channel 854. Changes take effect around the 20th I believe so I'll be finding out soon. Hope the channel sticks around since I'm enjoying watching some classics I don't have on DVD and discovering a few I never really watched before like Combat (Which I'm now addicted to).
I'm in Potsdam NY which I believe falls into the Central NY/Syracuse region.

Off hand I'm not sure. I'll check later.
My old box was far more reliable. It deleted all my recordings during a power outage back around 2005 but other than that is was pretty much rock solid for years until the hard drive died a year or so ago. Had trouble with the guide not properly updating but I think that was just a software issue.
Whatever this one is, it's what they've been giving out recently in upstate New York State in the Syracuse region. Even the one in their office is this model before they closed the office a few months ago and firing several 20-30 year employees while forcing local customers to go well out of their way now if they just need to replace something like a remote control.
And it looks significantly older than the old one it replaced and the internals don't seem to be any better than the styling.

Usually takes about 10 minutes here. But it has been upwards of 25 minutes a few times. Once it took over an hour and just seemed to keep resetting itself before finally fixing itself. Thought it was going to be a goner that time.

I miss it too. Where as I just had to hit play before, now I get to briefly hit rewind just to not miss anything before hitting play.
I don't see how adding an extra button press for such a common action is progress when it just automatically skipped back slightly before.

It did the same for me for the Montreal race. And then the evening reair gave me the the setup box was unable to record this program nonsense.
Going to just watch the last re-air tonight live and not count on the DVR.Edited by Leo_Ames - 6/10/13 at 4:54am
