I have my own solution: I am moving in a couple of weeks to a new house with FiOS availability. I'll let this disconnect go to "retentions" and I will make damn sure that they understand that I am tired of TW DEGRADING the functionality of their "service".
If they try to hand me the "additional enhancements" CRAP, I'll point out that there aren't any visible to customers. Soo much for TW now being "better".
Me too, Dave. I'll be moving in another few months as soon as my new house is built, and one of the great pleasures I'll have is telling TWC to kiss my arse. I've patiently stuck with them while they removed one useful feature after another from their STB's, from firewire support to eSATA support to the dumping of Passport for the ill-conceived Navigator software and now this removal of DVR compensation.
Far from improving their product line, they've slowly been degrading it while relentlessly increasing their fees. I blame the local monopoly they've been given for this as they haven't had any real competition that would force them to listen to their customers. I'll still have to deal with another cable company for broadband, but at least I'll be able to get a fully functional DVR from DTV.
